David Shuster, on 22 October had utterly disgraceful (wear your helmet – by the end of this short piece of video, the head-desk impulse will be strong) GooperFlack™ and insignificant, wretched little shit-stain Ben Porritt on for a few minutes, and although Shuster whiffs on the first question, he shows some resistance to the shovel-full he knows is coming. He manages to put a pretty good crease in McCain’s tax policy, too.
Shuster doesn’t seal the deal – perhaps time constraints, or that screaming in his earpiece – but he does show tenacity up to a point.
And Joe Biden is a’comin’. Ought-nine is going to be some year for sound-bites.

Good stuff, newton! It’s good to see Shuster, and others (even Tweety!) starting to call BS on the surrogates’ crap.
I’m being too hard on Shuster here. He’s one of the better media-types out there, though that’s not saying much. His victim on this day was particularly heinous – defending the indefensible is busy work, but this dude looks like he is enjoying his segment in the Port-a-Potty. Given the material he’s working with, that really is an achievement.
But the recent flurry of more conscientious journalism is strangely timed. Tweety has a lot to answer for. And CNN – jeez, redemption is a loooooong way off.
This was a few weeks ago, and I wish I could remember the date, but I know it’s out there on the YouTubes: the day when Tweety went wild on Eric Cantor (TotalWingnut-VA). It made my day!
And CNN? Feh…
Yeah, that was one of the good days. Cantor truly isn’t much sharper than Palin. Or Lynn Westmoreland. Or Jack Kingston. Or Michelle Bachman. Or…
Uh oh – a trend is developing.
They’re all cut from the same cloth, and they can’t see past the approved Rethug talking points.
At one point during the Tweety/Cantor throwdown, Cantor could only choke out some drivel about “But, but, Obama wants to raise taxes!!11!!!1″
But you knew that already…preaching to the choir, I am.
I’m still having schadenfreud-ilicious moments about Bachman, and I was pleased to contribute to El Tinklenberg’s campaign.
Yeah, choking the life from her fetid campaign with some scratch was gratifying.
Ok something has obviously gotten into the media they used to accept everything the GOP said blindly without challenging it.
So I want to know what happened to them? Did someone notice KO’s numbers and that Rachel got a show quick while Tucker lost his show?
Is it advertisers? Do they only want to advertise on shows people watch?
Is O’Reilly more of a denture cream and monster truck audience while KO is Mac Computers and Ben and Jerry’s?
Is it the certainty that Obama will win and that any reporter who wants a scoop better play nice?
Has Karl lost all his blackmail photos of the MSM?
Great catch, buddy!
Thank you Loo Hoo. I was just trimming out the chaff from some stuff I had recorded, and there it was.
Today (Sunday) on “This Week” George Will said “25% of what the government does is redistribute the wealth”
Schuster “who besides you” “name one credible source”
I think Schuster plays great hard ball. Direct, clear and on point.
Ah, I savor these moments. Thanks, Newton.
I think shuster misses big chances, he allows ben to say mccain is gonna cut taxes for everyone, he allows ben to say mccain is gonna give a 5000 dollar tax credit and he allows ben to say barack wants to negotiate unconditionally
errr
ben, mccain can’t pay for tax cuts for everyone, that’s what caused the finanacial crisis
ben, that 5000 dollars they get will cost them 10,000 dollars
and biggest of all
errr
ben, you can’t have preconditions until you have already negotiated those conditions
shuster fires but then lets the republican fire back and land big
if you can muscle past the gag reflex, you can enjoy Shuster laughing his ass off on air at Brad Blakeman’s deluded sh*
