After the Federally mandated NCLB and the deleterious effects it has had on our young people, we need to get back to true education. We desperately need a talented, proven, progressive innovator to fill the post of Secretary of Education. We require an educator and administrator who has the talent necessary to remediate an an educational system which is in a shambles, failing in it’s mission and leaving students lagging behind their international peers in every scholastic area of achievement.

We must have a person who has the vision to implement a plan which will allow all of our young people to fulfill their potential, no matter their parent’s station in life or where they happen to live. I submit that Doug Christensen is that person.

Mr. Christensen brings a proven track record of both innovative approaches and collaborative success in the past. He, alone among the 50 State Education Chiefs, stood up to the Federal Government and fended off the implementation of NCLB in his home State of Nebraska.
