ObamaDems Unveil Insane & Stupid Climate-Science-Denial Mass Suicide Plan that Fracks All the Children to Death & Spawns Giant Hurricanes – by NormanB (“Deviations from the Norm”)
What is the most important issue in this 2012 US Presidential Election? Does either of these guys even have a philosophy?
“There is only one really serious philosophical question, and that is suicide,” Albert Camus taught us in his absurdist essay The Myth of Sisyphus. Should I, or should we commit suicide? That is the most important question before us this Presidential Election, just as it is the most important political question we face every day of our lives; because, if the answer is “Yes, we should commit suicide,” then all the other issues pale in comparison. And if we go ahead and commit suicide, the rest of the questions will no longer matter. In a way.
In order to get energy for our nation, President Obama and his pretend opponent Mitt Romney are advocating burning Coal and Oil. They’re both advocating Onshore Drilling and Offshore Drilling and Fracking and Coal Mining Shale Mining and Nuclear Energy. During the most recent Debate President Obama (nominally the more Left of the two because he’s a Democrat) again attacked Romney from the Right, saying that Romney had once, as Governor of Massachusetts, said that a Coal Plant “‘kills people.’” The President’s meaning was already clear, but he went on to emphatically state that he would never stand in the way of Coal, because he believes in “Clean Coal”: There is actually no such thing as Clean Coal, yet the President keeps lying about this non-existent product.
Yes, Romney said Coal kills. And Obama’s EPA defined CO2 as a “Dangerous Pollutant.” This is what they both want to do to the children of America and the children of the world. Here’s proof that they both know that what they’re proposing is Murderous: http://www.politicususa.com/romnesia-spreads-paul-ryan-forgets-romneys-coal-kills-record.html and http://blog.heritage.org/2009/12/07/epa-formally-declares-co2-a-dangerous-pollutant/
I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re not both laughing it up together at the electorate’s cluelessness: “We’ll trick the people in North Dakota into Frack-poisoning their own water!” “We’ll trick and intimidate the Coal Miners into killing their own children!” “We’ll trick the country into getting rid of its trees!”
So, the Obromneys have decided that mass suicide is alright. Let’s just ignore science and burn even more Fossil Fuels. Let’s burn Nuclear fires too, and tell them that it helps the climate. Yes, it’s true, killing off the children is how a society commits mass suicide. But I just don’t believe that it’s right, so I can’t go along with the President on this one.
Lund University in Sweden proved my friend Jack Herer’s hypothesis that growing Hemp for clean fuel on 6% of US arable land would produce more than enough energy to power our entire country, with no net emissions of CO2 or other Greenhouse Gases. Science tells us there is a way to get our energy without committing suicide. But President Obama says we should commit suicide by superstitiously burning more of these Fossil Fuels that are destroying the delicate climate balance that has kept humans as the dominant animal species on the planet, for the last hundred centuries.
Before that, our planet was going through an Ice Age, and there were giant cats and giant elephant-like creatures and giant bears and giant wolves. The climate was perfect for them. Then, that Ice Age ended in a period of intense Global Warming. Right then, most of the animals larger than us died off. The climate became perfect for humans. In this new Global Warming period, if it’s allowed to proceed, humans and other animals for whom this climate is now perfect will die off. http://my.firedoglake.com/normanb/2010/11/11/breakthrough-swedish-hemp-energy-study-corroborates-hemp-emperor-herer/ and http://mamamojournal.blogspot.com/2010/11/hemp-energy-farming-breakthrough-study.html and http://www.electricemperor.com/eecdrom/ and http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6V24-51C4RRC-4&_user=10&_coverDate=10%2F31%2F2010&_rdoc=1&_fmt=high&_orig=search&_origin=search&_sort=d&_docanchor=&view=c&_searchStrId=1537022627&_rerunOrigin=google&_acct=C000050221&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=10&md5=2c65f9591666c0e3039de2fae1c04549&searchtype=a
Welcome to Jonestown, USA! Obama and Romney both say “Drink the Kool Aid!” What other choice do we have? Science tells us that with Hemp we can avoid killing all the world’s children with dangerous and deadly Carbon Dioxide. But our President advises us to go ahead and kill them anyway.
If other candidates do recognize the truth, they may be afraid to state it. Green Party Presidential nominee Jill Stein is the only Presidential candidate stressing the fact that we can stop Global Warming, quickly, and it would energize and enrich our nation. And it would avoid mass suicide – it would avoid killing the children. Won’t somebody think of the children?! Listen to Jill Stein’s speeches: She says over and over again: “We can stop [Global Warming].” We can.
November 5, 2012, the day before the rigged Election, the day before millions of Americans will drink the Kool Aid, Jill Stein will Debate Libertarian Presidential candidate Gary Johnson, the former Governor of New Mexico. You’ve already heard the non-Debates. Don’t drink the Kool Aid. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/wp/2012/10/26/gary-johnson-and-jill-stein-will-debate-one-on-one/ and http://www.examiner.com/article/update-reminder-third-party-debates-moved-to-monday-nov-5

Far too many people ignore Obama’s real environmental record of giving U.S. sovereignty to BP, delaying changes until after his first term where they can be cancelled by Obama or a like minded republican, cancelling air regulations which his own EPA agency said would kill 7,200 people annually, dramatically expanding nuclear, pipelines, and off shore drilling, extending – rhetoric notwithstanding – all fossil fuel subsidies, blowing up mountains while singing the praises of clean coal, etc. etc. etc. The White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, – which Obama completely controls – has weakened more than 80% of the rules proposed by the Environmental Protection Agency. DeChristopher, a whistle blower for an illegal sale of public lands to the fossil fuel industry, has been prosecuted and sentenced to two years by the Obama DOJ while everyone else who planned and executed the illegal action gets a pass.

And don’t forget Obama’s role in sidetracking even thinking about any action on global warming until 2020 at the recent UN meeting in South Africa and abandoning all international efforts. It is hard to see how Romney could be worse.
Under Obama, the EPA has initiated a new cyber page: Its “Clean Energy” page. The first two are Coal and Nuclear. Clean Energy.
Rec’d.
The more I think about this election, the more I want to bang my head on a wall.
The whole point is to main the status quo by any means. The keep the neo-feudalist system intact.
Going “green” would be the first step in dismantling it, which is why it gets lip service at best. Putting the production of energy into the hands of the people would take it out of the hands of the corporados and our neo-feudal lords.
Thank you for this, normanb.
The nightmare we are living through is coming to an end. No, I don’t predict third party success (though my foresight never has been my strong suit) but I do know that once we can vote our consciences we shall be free of the burden we’ve carried since we elected Obama, those of us who were bamboozled back then. It has been a long haul of disillusionment and disappointment that I cannot wait to be freed from.
After we have done this thing we are not finished. But it will be the beginning of the beginning, as it was once said.
For more on why blowing up mountains is bad see https://www.facebook.com/notes/karl-moore/awesome-coal-and-mountaintop-removal-speech-by-paul-corbit-brown/442101525848687?notif_t=close_friend_activity
Do you have a URL to the Lund U. research on hemp as an energy source?
Rec’d, normanb, although I’m not a proponent of biofuels, really. But there are a lot of alternatives in combination that could answer our energy needs, but one is surely mass transit that actually works well moving people from place to place. These little rectangles we drive around are obscene (say I, who live in the middle of nowhere and know public transportation will never be viable here…)
Clean coal; quite the oxymoron. Hard, soft…it’s dirty. On bad days the smog from the plants in the Four Corners make quite a lot of smog. But hell; it’s mainly killing First Americans, so…

Jill Stein quote from Chris Hedges’ column:
“Obama is promoting oil drilling in the Arctic, where the ice cap has already collapsed to one-quarter of its size from a couple decades ago, and he’s opened up our national parks for drilling,” Stein said. “He has given the green light to fracking. He has permitted the exhaust from shale oil [extraction] to go into the atmosphere. He is building the southern pass of the Keystone pipeline. He brags that he has built more miles of pipeline than any other president.”

Who in their right mind could vote for Obama, knowing what they know and seeing the damage they’ve seen this week? Rebecca Solnit wrote a letter to third party voters, explaining why those of us who are voting third party are part of “The Dismal Left” (IOW, “f**king r**ards), in which she said: “Please, radical leftists, spare us the bitterness and negativity; we need hope and incremental victories and you provide neither..”
“Hope and incremental victories.” Yeah, that’ll do it.
A big thank you to all the wonderful individuals who are running as third party candidates. They are the ones offering real hope and incremental victories.

Yeppers, that one was published here under a TomDispatch header.
‘We could be heroes’. Yech.
She’s a piece of work, isn’t she? When her column was published at Common Dreams, there were over seven hundred mostly negative responses.
It’s interesting to me to see which of our nationally known voices are supporting Obama and which are urging people to vote for third party candidates. Glenn Greenwald pointed out Matt Stoller’s excellent piece at Salon. Conor Friedersdorf has been outspoken in his support of third party voting, and of course, Chris Hedges remains true to his beliefs. If you haven’t looked at Greenwalds “Various Items” (a short read), here’s a link:

Have a good day, Wendy. Hang in there.
Thank you for this, lefttown!
And this!
I have to highly recommend a link that Glenn Greenwald gives in lefttown’s last comment at #13, the guardian link. It is near the top of Glenn’s editorial, to an essay by economist Professor Robert E. Prasch – well worth a read! I could post the whole thing, but here’s a central paragraph:
“…My point is a simple one: a betrayal has indeed occurred. It was not instigated by Glenn Greenwald, Matt Stoller, the Black Agenda Report, or any other progressive voice. All these writers have done is put these betrayals before the public. The people who betrayed the once-vibrant and hopeful 2008 coalition that elected Barack Obama president are lodged in the White House. Their betrayal was not a consequence of circumstance. It was the inevitable playing out of decisions taken before January 20th, 2009. The above list of appointments amply affirms that Barack Obama and his leading advisors knew, at the moment that the oath of office was taken, that their priorities and agendas would be in many, if not most, instances antithetical to the priorities and agendas of its supporters. There was to be, neither then nor later, a glass “half-full” or even a “quarter-full.” If anyone tells you otherwise, just ask him or her to show you the glass.”
Hemp you say! Hemp?!? Why, Hello! Why, don’t you remember that scamming loser who started a hemp plantation on the Pine Ridge Rez in the Black Hills of the Dakotas? And he went and hired local Indians to work the land. And they were making money and feeling quite smug.
Only George W’s people at DEA found out about this. And at the same moment in time this Hemp Farm was about to secure a very beneficial contract from Canada for the product, which would have increased the ability of this project’s manager to hire even more people, the Powers that Be descended.
Never mind that the project was employing previously unemployed people. Never mind that no one has ever gotten high off hemp. The project’s instigator was charged with several felonies,. The project was forcibly abandoned. The project founder had to use all his profits to avoid a jail sentence.
While this happened, Obama the Great, yes, He of Hope And Change took office. And nothing changed, nor was there any hope. The project instigator still had to fight charges, and still had to avoid jail by spending his profits.
And the people on the Rez are back to being hopeless, jobless and as “shiftless” as ever. Although their offspring can still join the Military and go kill brown skinned peoples in other lands.
So until we get rid of these two totally controlled “One Big Money Party” and their ruse of “free elections” I doubt we will see much occur on account of hemp.
When will we have a society such that its members use their brains and actually refrain from shooting the messengers, but instead go after the Evil Ones that the messengers are trying to expose?
I read Eli Weisel’s Autobiography about a year ago. The saddest thing about all of it, to me, was the section where a relative of his happens to be in a neighboring town. The Germans come in and at first they treat everyone very nicely. But then one morning, they round up all the Jews and all the dissidents, and kill them en masse. Eli’s relative somehow escapes.
He makes his way from his hometown to Eli’s town. Then he tells everyone: “All of you think these German occupiers are treating you very well – but just wait. They have the same plans in mind for you that they had for the people of my hometown! They are not going to leave any Jewish people alive!”
And it was such an inconvenience to the town’s citizens, to consider what the warning being given them meant, and they wouldn’t accept it. So instead of taking any proactive actions, they told this messenger that he was nuts. And of course, very few Jewish people did survive what the Germans had in store for them. The Germans did in Eli’s town exactly as they had done in his relative’s.
On Pine Ridge people were making Hempcrete, which actually removes Carbon from the atmosphere permanently. Even though Obama a& his Admin. are in complete climate-science-denial, even so, we still need Hemp, we still need Hempcrete. Everything in US political policy and economics is tied directly to the Hemp industries. These Hemp projects are hastening the fall of the regime.
Oh I agree. Sorry that I didn’t offer up my in any portion of my text. And thanks for the description of the Hempcrete. That is one part of the story that I haven’t heard of. Good to know.
Oh I agree. Sorry that I did not make clear my intended sarcasm. And my “sarcasm alert button” is hidden by some part of its HTML code here on WordPress. Thank you for the description of Hempcrete. That is one part of the story that I haven’t heard of. Very good to know.
