Recently I made a post about Tavis Smiley’s revolt against Barack Obama’s condescending comments to the Congressional Black Caucus, and stated once again that Obama’s not really a black president, he just plays one on TV. He’s a corporatist through and through, and has done nothing for the black community which he falsely claims as his own.
At least one person here at FDL said my post was racist. It is not my intention to call that person out, it is my intention here to thank the African-Americans who defended me: Thank you, and to point out this scathing article by Glen Ford in the Black Agenda Report:
“When the going gets rough, beat up on the Blacks. That’s been a rule of American politics for many generations – so why should Barack Obama be any different?” Ford begins. And breaks out the big guns from there.
<snip>
“Can one imagine Obama or any other presidential aspirant repeatedly hectoring any other ethnic group on moral issues? Singling out Jews for excessive materialism? The Irish for excessive drinking? Of course not; that would be unfair and politically suicidal. But there are large regions of the white body politic in which it is not only acceptable, but damn near required, that politicians demonstrate their impatience with the alleged moral shortcomings of Black people. Barack Obama trolls for votes in those foul waters, at the cost of Black people’s dignity.”
“Can one imagine Obama or any other presidential aspirant repeatedly hectoring any other ethnic group.”
<snip>
“The Black Caucus, as a body, meekly murmured and mumbled as the administration transferred the equivalent of the U.S. gross domestic product to the banks while Black America disintegrated. Now, with Obama’s numbers falling, he has very publicly commanded them to shut up and perform what he believes is their only legitimate function: to get him re-elected. In the looming contest, he will again resort to Black-baiting whenever it is useful to shore up white support. In that – as with his foreign and domestic policies – Obama is no different than white corporate politicians. His one great distinction, is to have a core constituency that cares more for his security and dignity, than their own.”
Ouch! That wasn’t me, folks. That was Glen Ford, though I, middle-aged white guy that I am, agree with him 100%. Obama is no different from white corporatist politicians because he IS a white corporatist politician in every way that matters.
Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the Obama campaign run their very own Willie Horton-type ad if his future Republican opponent left him or herself open to one. The man has no shame.

That’s why I love Glen Ford.
He comes straight out of the old school left liberal perspective. He hasn’t forgotten that this is all about serving the interest of all the people, not worshing some cult of personality!
I must confess I am not very familiar with Glen Ford, but I can already tell that I like him.
Obama sucks up to the corporatists because they made him. Because he is one of them. He’s a masterful con artist. But, like all con artists, sooner or later someone will shout “The Emperor wears no clothes!”
Wow. I like straight talk.
Glen and the folks at BAR sniffed out BO’s con man act years before he ran for president. They never trusted him. I remember they wrote a piece about him where they mentioned ineterviewing the then newly elected Senator. Basically what they got was a guy who said liberal things he really wasn’t committed to.
Since then they have never bought into the big lie many of us bought into.
PS – Glen has a wonderful speaking voice. You should listen to some of his audio commentary at BAR.
Me, too. Hell, I’ve even been known to become sexually aroused by truth telling.
However, I think the bottom line with all the members of the CBC is that they will back Zero’s renomination and re-election 100%
Please make every Wednesday a stop over at blackagendareport.com. I had the privilege of interviewing Glen Ford three times when I still had a radio show. Even my Libertarian listeners found him “brilliant”. He called out Obama a long time ago and warned me in February 2008 about this Trojan horse. He also called out the coming depression early 2008. He has been in radio since the late sixties and worked with Petey Green in D.C. He has a voice like James Earl Jones and the intellect of a Noam Chomsky. Super smart. You can hear him on Sirius Left every Wednesday in the last hour of the Mark Thompson show. Blackagenda report is a must read each week for a real macro look at the world economy and our place in it and also the underreported stories like the prison industrial complex.
I discovered BAR a long while back. Can’t remember when I made the comment at FDL, I think it might have been before FISA. My gut feeling was that Obama, and I went searching for views from various sources. That’s when I discovered BAR. They have had the goods on Obama for a long long time- Glen Ford, but also Bruce Dixon, who irrc had the opportunity to observe Obama in ChiTown.
I’m on their mailing list. Bruce is managing editor for BAR. As he’s in my neck of the woods, we sometimes talk via email.
You said “Recently I made a post about Tavis Smiley’s revolt against Barack Obama’s condescending comments to the Congressional Black Caucus”. Possible you could give a link? I tried to find what you were referring to, but admit I don’t spend much time at FDL any more. So, Linky? I’d like to read.
I’ve been mulling over of late the notion that Obama is a racist. That he actually has no respect for Blacks. Just something I’ve been thinking about.
Or that he is the equivalent of the “Queen Bee” – a term that applies to women in power. Some females here might recognize the phrase- a “Queen Bee” is a female who rises to power by destroying or ignoring the valid concerns of other females, and takes on the “male model” of power to get ahead.
Hope this makes some sense! But, I’ve seen females in the “Queen Bee” mode operate in a way that only advances her own career, not that of other women.
Geez, I wish there were an edit function. edit/ additions
~My gut feeling was that Obama WAS A FRAUD, and I went searching for views from various sources.~~
Uh, addition to previous comment- so, in a way, Obama is the “queen bee”, but on a different terrain.
Your absolutely right about the brilliance of Glen Ford his Black Agenda Report is a must read. He saw through Obama early and warned us that we were being duped by him. As far as being called a racist for criticizing Obama I am black and most black folks hate my comments about him also. The truth is too many of us have put picture on the walls next to Dr. King, President Kennedy and Jesus and dont care how devastating his policies to our communities are. However, little by little some of us are opening our eyes to the trickster living in the white house.
montanamaven, you hit on a point I always raise with some of my obamabot friends. If you speak with clarity and convictions on liberal principles, people with different worldviews will at the very least respect what you have to say and some may even come to another point of view.
Allow me to make a point. While BAR focuses primarily on issues pertaining to those of African descent worldwide, it’s not racist. In much the same way that there are some women’s magazines that focus on women but they are not men hating. So my asian and white bros and sis, don’t be intimidated in checking it out. All they do is tell it like they see it.
1 – Like you, I wish there was a edit function.
2 – As much as BO disregards liberals, he really is not into black folks (men in especially). I know Cornell West made a somewhat similar assertion. I got that feeling the first time I heard hime give a Father’s Day speech. He sounded as if he was the only so-called black man that knew how to be a father.
Thanks, I’ll do that. I had no idea. It’s amazing how isolated one can be in this age of near-infinite information sources. Guess my horizons just got broadened. Always a good thing, IMO.
FWIW, here’s my take on how O got to be where he is.
The Story of O
I’ve been noodling how O got into the PTB net for consideration for a long time, and late in a thread a week or two ago, onitgoes (screen name of frequent commenter on firedoglake) & I put a lot of it together. My intuition told me he was a bad dude first time I heard of him, before I got any evidence. Then the evidence started piling up: FISA vote, econ team, look forward, etc etc.
So here it is. The first thing I noticed about his bio was the transfer from Occidental to Columbia junior year. Occidental is a respectable college, but that’s quite an upward jump. I figured that might have been engineered behind his back so he was already spotted by then.
The next thing I noticed was how disengaged he came across in “Dreams.” Written several years after his community org stint, there was no Afterward telling us what happened to those people or programs. O clearly didn’t care.
So here’s the story. O worked for Business International for a year after Columbia, mid 80s. BI (now merged out of existence) admitted to being cover for CIA agents in the mid 50s but I think those ties never end. I figured they came out to him then. Meaning the rest of his career was planned. Community org stint was to give him lefty creds. Dreams, ghostwritten, was to make sure people knew about that, and to get his dirty linen (cocaine) public early enough so that it wouldn’t matter later. Going to Harvard Law School and prez of Law Review was likewise arranged, to give him prez creds. Then he gets adjunct at Chicago Law School, one of the most virulently wingnut around, worse (I am told) than Chicago’s econ dept. And his political career gets underway.
Paul Street’s first book, pub after election but bef inauguration, lists, in the introduction, 6 incredibly fortuitous events that got him the U.S. senate seat. 2-3 are sexual peccadilloes of primary opponents. My fave is that they convinced Carol Mosely Braun to run for prez instead of trying to win back her senate seat. O got the keynote addy at D convention bc other possibility, Granholm, wasn’t up for election so didn’t need the publicity & Ds needed the senate seat.
That story was good enough for me, though it didn’t answer why he was visible to PTB when he was still in college. Thought it prolly had something to do with his parents, but I know so little about Kenya & Indonesia (stepfather) that I didn’t try to figure it out. The answer comes in a book about his mother, recently published; here’s a review http://reason.com/archives/2011/09/26/empire-of-the-son . It argues that his mother, father & stepfather all worked for CIA. The wiki for U. Hawaii’s East-West Center’s, where his parents met, doesn’t mention anything about CIA, naturally, but it is a big State Dept project. Here’s what it sez at the end of the EWC wiki:
The impact of the EWC is far reaching. More than 50,000 people have participated in EWC programs since 1960, including many who currently hold positions of leadership throughout the U.S. and the Asia Pacific region. Alumni include heads of government, cabinet members, university and NGO presidents, corporate and media leaders, educators and individuals prominent in the arts.
So CIA, State Dept, whatever, O’s been in the net for consideration since bef he was born. And like the PTB faction that wanted to open up China needed a R to do it, the current PTB faction that wants to get their mitts on SocSec, needs a D to do it. O is perfect for the job. Skin pigmentation & commun org will prevent a lot of progressives from seeing what he’s really about.
Having been selected at such an early age also explains his air of superiority.
O also has textbook personality of a bully: attacks those who are weaker & grovels to those who are stronger.
I’m black and I have no intention of voting for this man. I’ve mentioned before on FDL there is a club I’ve dubbed the “Black Lemmings For Obama Club.” They are blacks, often highly educated, that will vote for Obama no matter what. Actually, when you think about it, the same would probably hold true for Latinos or Native Americans if one of their own should ascend to the highest office in the land. And let’s not forget that many (daresay most) poor white voters will continue to vote for only a white candidate even when this candidate’s views run clearly against their own self-interest. So, this is nothing new. So, why do we do it?
Here are some thoughts.
1. Despite thousands of years of evolution, we remain quite tribal in our attitudes. Is this hard-wired into our DNA?
2. Racism/slavery is one of the core issues in America’s history that has never been dealt with honestly and/ or effectively. We continue to run from it only to find it rear it’s ugly head around ever corner. Then we try to run from it again.
3. People have a strong need to save face. Admitting we were wrong about Obama would mean taking a hard look at ourselves and why we make the decisions we do. This is not an attribute valued in America. For black leaders this is particularly problematic because blacks are already considered “inferior” or not up to the task on so many levels in this country.
4. No successful black wants to be accused of participating in the “crabs in the barrel” syndrome.
5. For many used to getting nothing, a crumb looks like an entire cake.
As an aside, you need to remember that Obama is not Afro-American, he is African-American. This is not a minor distinction. Africans often have a very negative view of American blacks. We are often viewed as servile, lazy and uneducated compared to Africans. Of course, this is total nonsense, and of course, these very same Africans conveniently forget the attitudes their colonial masters had toward them or their own history of participation in the slave trade. But I somehow suspect this plays a role in Obama’s all too willingness to castigate blacks at every opportunity.
The bigger issue for me is not black or white, but capitalism in general. But before people can deal with the main reason things are going to hell in a hand-basket, they must be willing to put aside tribal identities, enjoy enough self-esteem to be humble and be willing to put aside the fear of stepping away from the crowd. IMHO only.
I meant “we must be willing..”
Interesting take ecan. My general sense is as you suggest, he’s been groomed. I picked that up when a saw a snipet of the frontline piece on him. Soon as he was prez of Harvard Law Review, he selected rightwingers and ingratiated himself with them.
Any truth to the story that he was underwater with his house prior to being a senator?
“They are blacks, often highly educated, that will vote for Obama no matter what. ”
I hear ya ADC. I often refer to this situation as “What’s The Mattter With Harlem”.
Zinn argues that tribal identities in U.S. history have been “taught” by PTB to divide & conquer. For example, despite huge diffs bet black slaves & white indentured servants in colonial VA history, with language & cultural barriers, those 2 groups socialized with little recognition of skin color. Fearing those 2 groups might combine their grievances and numbers against the few RWM plantation owners, the latter set about institutionalizing more & more diffs. Poor whites were allowed to have guns, presumably to kill Indians; blacks not. Punishments for infractions ranging from minor to major were much more severe for blacks than whites. Still that wasn’t enough, so laws (think miscegenation) were passed. And so on.
Like the words to that trite song from South Pacific, you’ve got to be taught to hate & fear…
I didn’t delve into the other stories about him in any detail, just enough to form what seemed to me to be a coherent hypothesis. I don’t know about the house.
That would seem to be inconsistent with Michelle’s corp law income & my hypothesis that O was a chosen one, so it might be worth looking into as a possible refutation.
Great point. Zinn was a national treasure. I betcha he’s not on O’s reading list.
Reinforcing Zinn’s point are the new census data on large changes in multiracialism in U.S. in last decade.

I’ve labeled Barry as the minstrel president. He’s a rich white guy in black face, kind of like Al Jolson. That’s all he is, and a damn bad one too.
Very strange:
The Nation Magazine says that the reason that Liberals are abandoning is not because he betrayed us, or because he supports Slavery in Bahrain, or because he supports political murders and suppression in Yemen, or because he claims he is allowed to order Assassinations of Muslims, or because of his Racist and hateful Deportation policies, or because of his Torture of Bradley Manning, or because he is far to the Right of Mitt Romney.
The Nation magazine claims that the reason Liberals don’t support Obama’s Fascist policies is because we are Racists.
Once the voice of Progressives, once a magazine that claimed it was against Bush because he was too far to the Right, now supports the extreme Right-wing agenda of Obama, and has its Editor-at-Large Fracking-sponsored Chris Hayes campaigning for Obama’s far Right mess on TV Saturday & Sunday.
I’m sure that’s going to win him some votes …
It’s gotten sort of funny watching obama piss all over his base, desperately trying to lose their support so he could ride off into the sunset … for “the good of the party” … instead of running again. At least that’s what I see happening.
And has there ever been a president that has been as abusive to his own party as he? That’s treated their own party worse than obama? That has disrespected their party as much as he has?
The latest is one of the most blatant as he … while channeling his inner baptist preacher … tells the black caucus to “stop crying”. On the video, notice also the little slap on the podium (ass) as he leaves. I’m surprised that he didn’t “ride the pony” as he strutted off stage, slapping the pony’s imaginary ass while he gyrates his hips like he’s copulating.
He’s definitely been riding the donkey dem-zombie supporters … and riding them hard. The thing is there’s a sizable amount of them that will keep supporting him no matter what becoz they have an emotional investment in “believing” in obama. And that’s becoz they’re so proud of themselves for voting for him and they don’t want to let that go.
Z
It not who is a “better alternative for Blacks Folks or the Country”? Excuse my French! The question should be why would Black Folk or anyone let Obama use the same condoms he did in 2008? . I know people need work . The pay must be great . But the assembly line at a use condom factory ? Some screw ups you just things can’t shake out.
As I said above
Good point on Michelle’s income.
MLK, a great leader, said it all about judging a person based on the “content of their character.”
Here’s countercurrents.org reporter, Evelyn Pringle who actually investigated the guy before he became president, and found that he came off as just another dirty pol / wolf in sheep’s clothing.
http://www.countercurrents.org/pringle280308.htm
Also, it makes total sense that given his family’s history, his family was CIA. His mother worked for the Ford Foundation as did Geithner’s father. He is a child of the Military Industrial Complex and his deeds lend credence to this view.
Bill Ayers is rumored to have ghosted his autobiography. Bill Ayers of the oh-so-chic Weathermen. The Weathermen who despised working class people. The Weathermen who were mostly children of the privileged MIC themselves, and who “miraculously,” unlike the Panthers were not jailed or assassinated (they accidentally blew themselves up).
They destroyed the FDR Democratic coalition, per MIC design.
Obama, is taking care of what’s left.
See Jared Diamond’s very interesting history of Ayers, etc. He was there, and he saw the takeover of the student movement by these “snobs with a license.”

northwestbynorth:
What you have said about the Weathermen and Bill Ayers is flat-out not true! Unlike most “arm-chair” cyber-revolutionaries to day, they put their asses on the line!
I know enough about Ayers and the brave Weathermen to know that what you are doing looks like just another attempt to discredit the old left and replace it with the “fake-liberal” narrative. Maybe you should apply for a job at MSNBC.
Here’s the link for you, Valley Girl:

Thanks for the pringle link. It’s way too into the Chicago politics weeds for me but very interesting that McCain did nothing to reveal any of the material. I noticed a little of the Rezko scandal came out here & there, but didn’t amount to much. Perhaps McCain & O reached a “gentlemen’s agreement” to keep each others’ dirty secrets.
On book-tv I heard the guy who argued that Dreams was ghost authored by Ayers. He convinced me that O didn’t write it; writing is a skill that develops with practice & Dreams is too well written to have been O’s first attempt. The ‘analysis’ that Ayers was the ghost writer was over my head. I did, however, pick up Ayers memoir again after I had read Dreams the second time, and the two books sounded completely different. Both had nice word pictures, but of different sorts. So I dropped that thread. The Ayers link, if any, is not germane to what I was trying to figure out.
Yep, they paid dearly for everything, those privileged pups of the upper crust.
And, Ayers was very helpful to our president, wasn’t he?
They have in common, their toolishness.
The truth of the matter is that Obama (Corporate Tool Sellout Extraordinaire that he is) cannot resist punching Hippies. It’s in his DNA.
It’s only a matter of time before he tells Liberals/Progressives (let’s face it: we are the New Homeless in this dysfunctional political system) to “get a job.”
To complete this analysis would require some background on O’s grandparents. Do you have any?
A question about O’s Occidental stay. Who paid Obama’s tuition?
I don’t doubt this. My very conservative uncle and aunt voted for Dukakis, the liberal Democrat. It’s no coincidence that they’re all Greek.
Still, I’m baffled by the loyalty factor. I.e., a first time vote for such a high office, based on ethnicity or race, seems ‘natural’. But a second term? My uncle used to refer always refer to Communists as “commies”. I don’t really know, but if after being in office for most of one term, if a President Dukakis had proven weak on communism, I think my uncle would have voted against him during a re-election bid.
Then again, when Spiro Agnew resigned due to his tax evasion charges, I remember my aunt making excuses for him, along the lines of “They’re all crooked.” Thus, even though her father was murdered by a Communist (for the unpardonable sin of drunkenly singing a pro-royalist song), I suspect my aunt would have voted to re-elect a President Dukakis, short of him disbanding the US Army and destroying the nuclear arsenal.
Obama is done. Stick a fork in him. We black folks might have been snookered a couple of years ago by Mr. Obama and his promises but one thing we will do. Allow him to do it again. again. Karl Rove said it before he was elected. Obama is a empty suit, meaning all talk and no substance.
I read just about everything by both Ford and Dixon. If Ford is Frank Sinatra, then Dixon is Bing Crosby.
Or, to put it differently, if Ford is Marvin Gaye, then Dixon is Al Green.
Both very good…
Great reply. Thanks. I especially like: “…you need to remember that Obama is not Afro-American, he is African-American.” That’s exactly what I mean when I say Obama is not a black American in any cultural sense of the word. His absent African father was never anything but a whisper of life in the darkness, and later a scary figure who tried to take him away from everything and everyone he knew.
And, of course: “The bigger issue for me is not black or white, but capitalism in general.”
Exactly.
Nothing has changed. We saw glimpses of the real Obama from the beginning but shut it out.
Remember when Jesse Jackson wanted to “cut his nuts off?” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHflFFKoaNM
We should have seen this coming… http://tinyurl.com/an4964

He’s also a token. Minorities aren’t going to get any help so he’s a stand in they can/have to live vicariously through but he’s supposedly proof that they are advancing and breaking glass ceilings. Axelrod specializes in getting blacks elected for what it’s worth.
With our history of institutionalized racism and slavery, I feel like this is tied in with the strategy of guilting former DNC donors that Jim Messina used in his recent DNC email, and the racist card that Melissa Harris Perry used against “white liberals” the other day. It’s meant to cause us to pipe down about complaints, shaming us into supporting him for his color while dismissing valid policy complaints.
Good questions.
I don’t know how one would get info on who paid tuition at various colleges & universities, but I’d guess he prolly had “scholarships.”
As for grandparents, there might be info in the book on his mother. I’ve kind of figured out enough to satisfy me for now so don’t intend to read it, but I might get curious again.
Hadn’t seen the Jackson clip. Priceless.
I feel the same. He was groomed, I have looked into some of it but not as much as you. Having an affiliated family makes him a natural choice. He was also a member of SDS – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Students_for_a_Democratic_Society
This was the organization that was part of the New Left in the 60′s that did some bombings – what the right holds against him for being friends with Bill Ayers.
They were also infiltrated by the FBI/CIA during COINTELPRO.
Due to the signal to right wing noise, I haven’t been able to find this information on the internet again, but before he was elected he went to Kenya to get them to stop manufacturing generic drugs because they were interfering with PhRma patent profits. Drug manufacturing was the source of the Kenyan Miracle.
While there he met with Anders Fogh Rasmussen when he was PM of Denmark (now Sec Gen of NATO) and was accompanied by his handler Mark Lippert.
This caused a problem after their election was contested and became bloody and one of the candidates told people they were related to Obama.
While he was there here he also gave them a very condescending speech about pulling themselves up with their own bootstraps and to stop blaming America for all their problems.
These sites have some details:

For pics only
I think that right wingers were on to something but were so consumed with hatred of Obama they were distracted with the smear of that he was a Kenyan Socialist Marxist Muslim. See what they had on Mark Lippert.
Chris Hayes works for MSNBC but as far as I understand he’s not a pied piper and willing front for DLC politics like the rest of them are. He was raised steeped in the politics of the far-left.
If he’s “campaigning for Obama’s far Right mess”, do you have a link?
Have you read all the replies to Melissa Harris Perry? She replied to Joan Walsh and ripped her for calling her a friend, as if she were using her to hide her own racism by using the “I have black friends” preface. Joan apologized on twitter for calling her a friend.
MHP doubled down on the race card/stupid and really embarrassed herself. Apparently she has a history of reactionaryism and one episode is her review of the movie “The Help” before seeing it. The woman has issues she needs to deal with.
Corey Robin, Joan Walsh, Gene Lyons, David Sirota
2nd link was wrong. Here he is one month after taking office and refusing to answer an actual question about why he’s implanted a lobbyist in the WH.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zUgAlQt3n0
For all the vaunted and fawning praise over this eloquent Presidents speaking skills, it’s the one thing that Obama doesn’t do: Hold real press conferences. Even Bush did this and it was a source of the best bloopers ever.
Well, THAT certainly sounds familiar.
Thanks for the material. I know so little about what goes on inside foreign countries, that I just didn’t go there. I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life on this project. *g* But what you add is certainly consistent with being selected at an early age. That he might have been a spook inside SDS is a very amusing note.
I also got some links from a winger. That material tends to be filled with false observations and wild accusations, so I also gave that up as being mucking about in a cesspool looking for a nugget or two.
That’s interesting on MHP. I saw her a couple of times while I was still watching Rachel and didn’t think her content was very insightful. Kinda blah.
Besides, she fits inside a new prejudice against and contempt for I have developed wrt Princeton profs. Though she is now at Tulane, she was on faculty of Princeton earlier, along with Bernanke, truly schlock economist, and Bernard Lewis, who learned just enough bad stuff about the Ottoman empire to become the anti-Islamic “expert” after 9/11.
BTW, neither O wiki nor SDS wiki acknowledge O as a member, and it was not SDS that did the bombing, but a much smaller splinter group, Weathermen.
Didn’t do the “ya know” count but it was pretty high.
Even W didn’t ban Helen Thomas, though he did move her to the back of the bus.
okay, thanks.
I got the information from the sds from someone that used to comment here if I remember correctly and at EW but it’s been more than a year ago. She worked with him for a short period of time at that and got to know him a little bit there. She was having a hard time absorbing his actions because they were so different than what she thought she knew of him and was in kind of in a shock state.
yeah, its hard to filter through the racist crap the right puts out, but that might be cover too.
Oh, one more bit I remember. during the election that Obama got tangled up in, they had American election fixers go in there which were illegal in Kenya. It was Dick Morris, he was going to be deported but he left first, but not before he drew up plans.

A lot of people got killed because of this.
If you read about how the state dept helps usher in regime change this is the pattern. It’s just like poland and Iran but it didn’t work out in Iran.
Then Hillary tried to negotiate a power sharing agreement, and media here was pushing the line that Odinga was the winner.
shekissesfrogs:
Hey, I want to hate Obama as much as you, but those two links you present above make him seem reasonable? Give me something I can use; show me that two dimensional bad guy we all love to hate!
huh?
The first one, jackson wants to emasculate him for talking down to black folks.
The second one (wrong link, see next comment) is an interview where at about 2:30 the reporter asks him a serious question about putting a lobbyist in the cabinet and breaking a campaign promise and refusing to answer any questions. exactly one month in office and he wont answer questions off the cuff, and says hes been ambushed –for gods sake.
The third one is senator Obama and you can see hes pissed off the reporter is in the yard, and hes phony about saying his kids are reading scripture on their vacation. Even if he did make the kids read scripture, how awful is that anyway, but it’s just his attitude that he’s so much better than everyone else it all and shouldn’t have to answer any questions. Its a pattern. look for body language too.
silly.. I don’t hate Obama. I loath him with every fiber of my being.
paraphrasing Gene Lyons, he said she sort of accused Princeton of being racist against her for only offering her tenureship for assistant professor position. I’m not impressed with anything I’ve seen from her.
