Those are the words of Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, considered a co-founder of Reaganomics, in an interview with Max Keiser during an On the Edge show posted yesterday.

And if that quote in the heading didn’t get your attention, how about this one:

“I would say it’s equally as bad, if not worse, than what Gorbachev faced in the Soviet Union in it’s final days.”

The interveiw is in two parts, part 1 is here and part 2 is here. Each part is only about twelve minutes long and together is less than a half an hour. IMO it’s a MUST hear interview this weekend.

He also addresses the lack of democracy throughout the world, as well as gives an adult opinion about inflation (something missing from even Paul Krugman IMO).

It’s one of the best, most honest, and easy to follow interviews I’ve seen in a long time on the subject of economics. That such honesty comes from a former Reaganite adds a bit of irony to the beauty.

Do yourself a favor and watch this.
