BRIT HUME: But they agree McCain did better on the economy?
FRANK LUNTZ: Yes. How many of you thought John McCain did better on the economy, raise your hands.
[Of 20 on screen, 7 can be seen to raise their hands]
LUNTZ: Okay—half of them thought John McCain did better on the economy.

This is the result of learning math to the No Child Left Behind standard.
I saw this go down last night, right after the debate, on FoxNews cable.
The post-debate commentary team of Brit Hume, Chris Wallace and another anchor cut to Frank Luntz who had watched the debate with a group of voters, a focus group.
Luntz had NO GOOD NEWS to report about how the group responded to McCain.
The only potentially exception was Luntz vague comment about McCain and the economy, so Brit Hume asked Luntz to elaborate (with a leading question) rather than leave the viewers thinking McCain had failed on all counts. Hume did not get the answer he was looking for so he made one up.
When will the world call Britt Hume the right wing hack he really is?
Well, by virtue of his being on Faux Noise, I think the world just assumes it would be stating the obvious.
I asked for that, didn’t I? He he.
Brit Hume’s snort indicates he can count, too.
