From a FreeRepublic Thread:
The scary thing about an Obama Presidency is that it will bring an Obama ADMINISTRATION. Thousands of politically correct leftist insanes who will go about remaking American soiety and culture in their own pathetic images. Every kooky and depraved idea that we have heard about in schools and colleges, in Berkeley and Massachusetts will be forced on all of us. All the multicultural, anti-Christian, homosexual, envirowacko, feminist, baby killing depravity will become federal policy. With the Supreme Court to back it up. As much as I dislike McCAin I pray that he wins big. Get to work, people.

The real funny thing is that we will make changes that the Rt Wing nuts haven’t imagined.

One of the funnier conservatives (in a really sad/sick sort of way) is Andrew Sullivan.
My take on his support for Obama is that he sees it as a means to the end of rectifying his beloved conservative movement. He clings to his failed conservative principles, and sees the current situation as an aberration, not as the fruition of years of conservative control.
Even scarier!
The change is happening already! Even in West-By-God-Virginia!
Where can the conservatives flee? Anywhere but here, I hope!
From the same thread:
“I’ve seen 13-year old boys passed around and fondled by 50+ year old gay men at a gay bar. That kind of thing isn’t all that uncommon in the gay community.
I was one of those who was more laisse faire when it came to the issue of gay marriage. I had gay friends. Hung out with them on occasions. But the more I hung out with them, the more I came to realize how royally screwed up that community and lifestyle are.”
Oh dear, where to start? First, if the commenter is so afraid of teh gay, what was he doing in the bar? And how does he know it “isn’t all that uncommon”?
Strangely enough, however, we do have something in common: I have straight friends. Hang out with them on occasions. But the more I hang out with them, the more I came to realize how royally screwed up that community and lifestyle are.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Well, would it be worse than having Leo Straussians and assorted other University of Chicagoans forced down our throats? Or Pepperdine? Or the College of Fundamentalist Wierdness? Maybe the country should give Berkeley a chance (excepting, of course, little Johnny Yoo. He’s had his turn.)
