So Joe’s pronouncement on Obama’s Israel policy — yea even Fox isn’t buying:
For a look at just the sort of clear analysis they’re talking about, you have to see this Fox News interview in which Shepard Smith tried three times to get an answer out of Wurzelbacher as to why he believes "a vote for Obama is a vote for the death to Israel." Wurzelbacher, of course, had no reason (although he did incoherently spew the McCain talking point BS claiming that Obama wants to meet unconditionally with America’s enemies) but instead tried to hide his ignorance behind a call for people to find out for themselves.
"…I just want to push it back on your listeners to go out there and find out why I would agree with something like that."
And…"Listen, I know you wanna really get some answers on this one, I’m just not gonna help you out here, Shepherd. Let people go out and find, that’s what I’ve been telling people."
And…"I’m sorry, Shepard, I’m not trying to be dancing around this, I honestly want people to go out and find their own reasons…Go out and get informed, that’s the biggest pitch I have for people."

He is right people do need to get “informed” about this issue. Most Americans only hear about what is going on from Israel’s and the I lobbies perspective. Because if anyone in congress tries to look at the situation fairly they get smacked down.
Actually, Israeli internal politics is not nearly as hard-line as AIPAC here in this country, and AIPAC is the only view we hear.
In Israel, they don’t want any attack on Iran, for a half a dozen reasons. This includes the results of that disastrous attack on Lebanon where Israel basically lost. They are in the same position as the US – both have attacked supposedly smaller, less defense-capable countries, and both our vaunted military strength was not enough to do the job.
The people in Israel, and even some of the newer leadership is much more willing to work with its neighbors. In fact, our stupid raid into Syria may have undone a diplomatic offensive between Israel and Syria that was almost completed. Thanks Bush, yet again, for getting into a mess and dragging other people in as well. A mess not of the Israeli’s own choosing.
Oh, and by the way – Joe The Plumber (JTP) doesn’t really have an answer except that he thinks (courtesy of the McCain slime machine) that Obama is a Muslim terrorist, and anti-Semite, and a bunch of other nice stuff like that. Only, deep down, he knows that isn’t true, and he doesn’t want to look like a total idiot on TV.
This little ‘go find out for yourself’ is the oldest GOPer trick in the book when either you don’t have an answer at all, or when your answer is going to make you look absolutely stupid.
