Clearly Joe has been taking lessons from Dr. Frist:

Secondly, I talked — because I get asked this question so much — I talked to doctors and insurance actuaries. And they tell me based on McCain’s age, his health, including skin cancer, he’ll live till at least 85. And probably longer.

So, Lieberman admits that people have been asking about McCain’s cancer status. As you intimated, his prognostications lack sufficient data which has so far been withheld from public scrutiny.
No doctor in the world would guarantee a minimum lifespan. Joe must be talking to God again.
even if they cold, nobody has any clue how age affects the cognisant abilities of any indvidual
I’ve seen men lose their wit in their 60’s, I have seen men in their 80’s more witty then most.
age affects us all differantly but I can tell you what the Dr. perris diagnoses;
Mccain has lost a good portion of his cognisant ability, he is not nearly as fast of wit as he was when first elected, his speach paterns are those of an aging individual, and at times in public he has sounded incoherant.
this is one old dude no matter what his age idicated
