phone banking for the dems the other night … had a woman say she wasn’t going to vote at all as she was convinced obama would be shot if elected and didn’t want to be responsible for that.

Heard a woman on NPR this am say if obama elected he woudl declare war on all white people. um that would include his momma, rest her soul.

This is funny. Early yesterday a coworker and old buddy of my husband’s told him how many McCain Palin signs were in his neighborhood – lots. They’ve had many discussions about the area this guy lives in is very racist (and he is not). So my husband asked him if he’s spoken about politics with his neighbors. He said, “Yeah. I told them I wouldn’t put a black man in office so I am voting for the white half of Obama!” :^)

John McCain is running the most smear-laden campaign in the history of national elections. However, he may well be within the margin or error, despite having Chimpy tied around his neck, having a startlingly unqualified running-mate, and being the least attractive candidate since whenever, and being categorically wrong about everything.
It works if executed properly against all but the most forward-thinking opponents. McCheese has a lot of problems, but Barack Obama’s campaign is chief among them.

I may be just being susceptible to suggestion, but if you freeze another frame somewhere between the 5 and 7 second marks, you have the flash bulb flash, and then there’s a still of Obama in profile standing in a profile pose at a podium. The way the kleig light behind him is positioned, it looks in regular speed like Obama is wearing a keffiyeh (forgive me if I’m misspelling the word). THink that’s also a deliberate choice they’re trying to push subliminally.
