HBO to broadcast Obama Documentary:
With some extremely good instincts, the filmmakers, Amy Rice and Alicia Sams, had decided back in 2004 that Obama was likely to run for president, and started filming him — with unequaled access — even before, and during, his trip to Kenya in 2006
No other crew got a fraction of their access, or spent a fraction of their time, so the film is highly anticipated among, at least, the reporters who seen Rice and Sams out on the trail for two years.
The news is that HBO signed it, for a premiere some time next year.

This should be fascinating. But they better be darn sure that every second of it is protected under copyright ’cause they right wing will try and take snippets of that trip to Africa well out of context. In fact they’ll create a bizarre pastiche that is utterly unidentifiable.
