“Mat Staver, dean of Liberty University’s law school, says he does not believe Obama is the Antichrist, but he can see how others might. Obama’s own use of religious rhetoric belies his liberal positions on abortion and traditional marriage, Staver says, positions that “religious conservatives believe will threaten their freedom.” The people who believe Obama is the Antichrist are perhaps jumping to conclusions, but they’re not nuts: “They are expressing a concern and a fear that is widely shared,” Staver says.”
That a person who is Dean of a Law school could say this indicates one thing. Not only are the people who he is discussing NUTS…but he is NUTS as well. The fact that a psychosis is shared collectively doesn’t make it NOT a psychosis. Consider the Salem Witch Trials, the KORU epidemic, the Nande mass starvation after killing all their cattle, Jonestown, etc.
BTW Isn’t Liberty one of those schools that the Bush Administration considered a major source for its Justice Administration? Nice to know we have a bunch of Manchurian Candidates infesting our government.
If these “religious conservatives” really felt that Obama was the Antichrist, shouldn’t they have voted for him? After all, the accession of the Antichrist is a necessary precursor for the End of Days.
This is just an extension of the Hagee approach. Christian Conservatives must support the return of all Jews to Israel since that is also a necessary precondition for the Apocalypse, when the Jews will convert or die. It is therefore not necessary to love or support Jews or Judaism to support Israel.
Shouldn’t the same logic apply to the Antichrist? Or is logic inconsistent with their beleifs?
