Karl Rove makes a funny:
ROVE: Well, at least in the White House I was in, policy won out, but you had to be aware of the political fallout of what you were going to do in order to contain it and deal with it. You bet. But to — but first and foremost if — the president I worked for, George W. Bush said, you know what, let’s do right, and the politics will take care of itself. It didn’t mean you were blind to it, but it didn’t mean that you needed to focus first and foremost on what you thought was in the right interest of the country.

Gee, I’m so looking forward to reading Rove’s book on how Bush is not a criminal and didn’t send us to war on a host of lies.
Yeah, that’s really gonna be a hoot!
I’ll wait to see the reviews.
That is funny. Karl is becoming increasingly incoherent. Maybe he’s thinking about running for national office.
well .. no shit ..eh karl .. ??
[snark]i don’t know about the rest of y’all ..but what i always truly pined for is a government run by folk who always put the nation’s interests behind their own [/snark]
What the…? He’s contradicting himself, isn’t he? “Let’s do right” and then some mumbling about not having to focus on whether it was in the best interests of the country?
Thanks; I thought it was just me – he has the same problem Bush does — the complete inability to complete a thought without interrupting it and going off on a tangent. Not that we need it but it would be very interesting to see brain scans done on all these guys.
