So I’m over at the big wheel, me and leen get into a discussion on what might be different had the supreme court not overturned our election and Al Gore had his seat in office.
My post-diction (as opposed to pre-diction);
The 9/11 pdb would have been heeded, the attack never would have happened, we would be investing in the industry of cooling the planet, saving our wild life, protecting our environment, we would be developing alternative fuels
Rush Limbaugh would be claiming it’s because of AL gore we are paying 2 dollars a gallon for gas
Nobody would have believed what might have happened to this country under bush
*sigh*
Jeb Bush would be running for the republicans instead of McCain, Hilary would be running for the democrats instead of Barack
The republicans would have the lead in polls
My company would not be going out of business.

One million and counting Iraqi’s would be alive (well Saddam would have killed some) 5 million Iraqi people would not be refugeesm their historical museums would still be in tact. 4ooo and counting young American soldiers would not be dead, 40,ooo would not be injured. Young men and women would not be returning from Iraq and Afghanistan with mental and physical wounds that they will be suffering from the rest of their lives
We would have all ready been encouraged pushed to drive more economical cars, we would have signed onto the Kyoto treaty or some form of it, negotiations in the Israeli Palestinian conflict would have been dealt with far more seriously. Gore would have pushed us to think about how our actions effect the rest of the people on the planet, how we have a responsibility not only to our families, to our country but to others around the world. Gore would have helped us look at the greedlock that our nation has been in the grips of for quite some time.
Gore would have pushed jobs in the environmental sector long before we now are forced to.
But most of all far less BLOOD WOULD HAVE BEEN SPILLED, FAR FEWER TEARS AND SADNESS, FAR FEWER BONES BROKEN AND BODIES DISFIGURED.
Our nation would have had far more opportunity to save its soul. It makes me sick to think about.
