That’s right, I heard John Kerry in an interview this morning, he told us he was ahead 6 percentage points the day of the election
Guess what?
They still managed to flip enough votes and put their puppet in charge of this country for a second term
When they’ve needed to be stealth they have flipped a 6 percentage point advantage to go on and win.
This time they are desperate, they know as a fact the democrats will be in the majority in both houses, they have absolutely nothing to lose if they are exposed.
I suspect they have the mechanisms in place to flip no less then a ten percent vote count and still show McCain winning we must not let that happen.
Hat tip to crooks and liars for posting that excellent youtube, it is right on topic for the next week

How can we cause this from happening if they truly could engineer a ten point swing? I have been thinking that this is the real reason behind the “vote early” message from the Dems.
Certainly have heard no such encouragement to vote early from the Repub side.
perris – there was a good report on voting problems this morning on democracy now!
THANX FOR THE LINX SELISE!
here’s a snippet from the link;
so even beyond vote flipping, they are obviously keeping thousands and probably hundreds of thousands of voters from being counted
According to Steven Rosenfeld there are numerous problems remaining as the final week winds down. He points out there’s no early voting in Pennsylvania and Virginia battlegrounds.
which make it impossible to avoid their machine “irregularities”
how the HELL did we get to this election without fixing this problem?
we KNEW bush was not elected and we stood around for this to happen AGAIN
The point he was making in those two states without early voting, is that we don’t know what to expect until election day. The other battleground areas have given an inkling of what might happen then.
Another point he made was that vote flipping is just half of it. There’s also the issue of counting the votes and how well that works out.
I forget who said it and this is paraphrased from memory;
“I don’t care who votes, I care who counts the votes”
that is teh bingo
how the HELL did we get to this election without fixing this problem?

People and sites feared being dismissed as tin foil conspiracy theorists by the “serious” people. They backed off, hoping for recognition/credibility from the MSM, elected officials, et al.
Election integrity activists were effectively sidepocketed. Now the piper is being paid.
my 26 was for your 25
That may be part of what happened. In Georgia we’ve expressed plenty of concern at the State House. Our former Secretary of State (the only person to win $1 million on “Smarter than a 5th Grader”) and a democrat decided that despite evidence to the contrary, the machines were “safe” and “ok.” For that and some misspoken words about the G&L communities, she was denied in her bid for the governorship. However, the Republican Governor saw fit to make her Superintendent of Schools.
In other words, winning by any method available in republiscum states is A-OK for both parties. Spending money to make sure that all votes are counted, making sure that caging IS the same as the rule of law, cleaning up the voter lists just days before actual voting — all of these tactics to win despite democracy, is the way red states carry on their bidness.
People who look to ‘06 as way to claim that elections are fair simply don’t understand election law or how to hijack a presidential election.
But — BIG BUT — landslides don’t permit thievery. Early voting means that problems will be highlighted. Helping people to vote who otherwise might have a difficult time getting to the polls and exit polling for your candidates might be just the things that will foil any attempt at foisting another loser onto the people.
Actually there is early voting in Virginia, there just isn’t “no excuse” early voting, so the volume is less than in states with true early voting. But we’re getting a lot of people voting early (I waited an hour on Friday), definitely enough to put the system to the test. So that’s one incorrect concern we can cross off the list.
It occurs to me btw that the Obama campaign has opened up additional battleground areas; more fires lit for the opposition to put out. Hokey smokes, Mrs. Bullwinkle!
opening the new battleground areas might be our saving grace
I am hoping they were not prepared to flip precincts they were counting on as red
PS
do watch that tube, it is only a few seconds long and you’ll get a real kick in the pants
“I can’t wait all minute!” I downloaded the video. Ouch! The message was clear.
It’s been attributed to Stalin.
Ohio. and. Florida. were. stolen!
Go volunteer to be a watcher at the polls, FGS.
Perris? Yes, hon. YOU. Breathe!
uh oh, me turning red
aw shucks. me too. who am i kidding?!
Thanks for all you do. A few alarm bells can’t hurt, eh?
Lots of us out here. Lots more who don’t even know the Lake is here.
Lots of anger and determination. I’ve been impressed at how well Obama has run his campaign.
Finishing on a positive note, warning his crowds that the days ahead will not be easy. The heart and soul he shows. The courage. His whole family!
It’s beautiful. It’s refreshing. It’s realistic and honest and respectful of the citizens to whom he speaks. He doesn’t indulge in any hokey “I feel your pain.” schtick. But it’s there in everything he says.
His visit to his grandmother right in the heat of the campaign. The way he treats Michelle and those beautiful little girls of theirs. How their family acts and reacts to eachother, that speaks volumes about compassion and respect.
His record of accomplishments getting him justifiably, confidently to this point and reaching for the Presidency. It all reinforces my confidence in his abilities, and in his determination to wade in there and do his very best for the nation and beyond. Hope is something that’s been hard to hold onto for a long long time. This might be a good day to polish it up and give it another good shove forward.
If Barack Obama is willing, I am also.
It’s wonderful to see you are also. Take care. We don’t want you burning out too soon. You’ve still got work to do. *g*
addy, your 16 (from “Lots of anger and determination. I’ve been impressed at how well Obama has run his campaign.”)
would make an excellant diary, please to post
I have to go to work and will not get to comment till later but I would love to see that on it’s own, beutiful stuff
Not this time. Not this year.
The Frontline about the two candidates recently re-aired on public teevee shows Obama at Harvard Law School giving a speech introducing a professor to a crowd. He’s exactly the person then you see today. Quite genuine. I wonder what he was like at age seven…
You know, I am terrified, too – I don’t sleep much, and the stress is really getting to me, and it has everything to do with a combination of the voing **irregularities** compounded by the overwhelming stupidity of a large part of our populace… That said, however, when I hear McCain’s financial advisor openly calling their health care plan crap, campaign sources calling Palin a ‘whack job,’and watching Repub after repub endorse Obama, I have to wonder whether the master plan is and always has been to sacrifice McCain, who ideologically doesn’t really fit either the “serious conservative” side or the full metal jacket nutso side and regroup for 2012. It would allow a Dem to come in and start cleaning up the wreck of a country (how can you pillage if you have already pillaged everything?) so there would be more stuff to steal come 2012. If that is the case, they would want to keep their powder dry this time around (though they sure would like to affect the House and Senate race).
In other words, have they staked McCain out like a goat for 2008?
Perris,
There’s very credible evidence that the 2006 election was stolen. You can’t steal a landslide, and that’s why it’s critical to get out the vote.
Exit polling is being done much more carefully this time. If the exit polls don’t jibe with the vote count, well … You can call once a horrible coincidence, a twist of fate, whatever. Another time, we’re taking it to the streets…
I’m sorry, the election WAS stolen and the evidence abounds
exit polling is NOT wrong, and surprise, the exit polls HAPPENED to be wrong wherever there was no paper trail
surprise surprise
more votes then voters, machine flips, voter supression…conyers has all these facts documented
Thanks for reminding us. Professor Mark Crispin Miller described how the Republicans will use the “Bradley effect” unknown factor could be used to argue away if Obama’s expected win is stolen
http://www.democracynow.org/2008/10/22/votes
priceless!
if we have allowed another election stolen, we can finally blame ourselves for the bloodless coup
Perris, I didn’t mean to suggest I thought that was the problem, simply a condition that didn’t help. If anything goes wrong we are not to blame. Lack of integrity, greed and gullibility is.
Having see online sites seriously undermined by controversy and dirty tricks associated with election integrity issues, I understand many electing to steer clear of the issue insofar as possible.
Whatever happens, citizens deserve to have election integrity issues addressed by non-political (not bi-partisan), honorable, financially disinterested people. Surely there are still some out there.
And may I point out:
He’s lying. He may be doing it with the best of intentions, to keep everyone working hard, but the only polls where Kerry was up by 6 on the day of the election were the same kind the McCain campaign is talking about where they’re winning Pennsylvania. (Meaning either cherry-picked or fictional.)
Yes, they may have stolen the 2004 election, but they didn’t steal 6 points.
Poll: Bush, Kerry split six key states
November 1, 2004
4 pts in Ohio. 6 pts in Ohio on 22 Oct 2004.
These were states for Kerry to win. Perris asked how this margin was changed on the date of the election, that is, the following day.

My Bold I admit that elections can be stolen but the red part of Oregon is much like Idaho if this trend holds in the other Western states heck 27% decline!
If the other red states show even 1/3 a 9% decline in voting Karl will have a hard time squaring the early votes with stolen election returns.
Now all we need if for Obama to fight for every vote even those he does not need to win but were still stolen from him.
where Bush received two-thirds of the vote in 2004, turnout is 27 percent off-pace.
A County Bush won by 2/3 or 66% turnout is down 27% now is Obama supporters can get 7% more turnout than last time they can win if the trend holds.
I don’t think it will happen but it will be close.
“The Election Center” and its influence on voting officials should have been addressed long ago.
