Just a reminder that the Walker recall isn’t the only one going on in Wisconsin.
Control of the state Senate is also at stake, with four Republican senators up for recall. If even one of them loses, control of the state Senate — currently evenly split — swings to the Democrats:
Republicans currently have control of both houses in the Wisconsin State Legislature.
But come Tuesday, that could all change.
It will only take one democratic win for democrats to take control of the State Senate.
The four republican senators being recalled include Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, State Senators Van Wanggaard, Terry Moulton and Pam Galloway.
Galloway resigned earlier this year so Jerry Petrowski will be running in her place.
The four are being recalled for the same reason as republican Governor Scott Walker, their decision to end most public workers’ collective bargaining rights to balance the state budget.
My Wisconsin friends tell me that it’s almost a certainty that at least one, and probably two, of these seats will get flipped to the Democrats. That effectively ends Walker’s enjoyment of a rubber-stamp legislature.
He’ll still be able to do damage, but a good deal less than before.

How much campaign $$$ have been throw by the Kochs et al into the WI senate races?
One day the Democrats will finally figure it out. If they want support from the people of this county they will put up progressive candidates, not these wishy-washy so called Democrats, but a fire breathing no holds barred progressive.
Those fire-breathing no-holds-barred progressives will have to come from somewhere. Run for school board so you can work your way up?
And yes, it will take decades to train up that cadre. Did you think it could happen instantly?
The Ds want nothing whatsoever to do with proggies. All they want is their fair share of corp bucks.
Just sit back and realize we are in the early days of the fall of this country. It is kinda surreal to realize what is going on and watch it unfold before our eyes. History may not repeat, but it rhymes. No progressives will save this country, it is done.
I signed a petition a few days ago, requesting my name be placed on O’s do not drone(kill) list. Surreal is most certainly an appropriate description. Way to go Dems. Wish you would go Dems.
I dont understand what is wrong with Wisconsin that they ended up with this situation? Really cheese heads huh? But then tis the same for the usofa.
What. Mac. Said.
and yes, I think it could happen very quickly…
But it won’t happen unless we have a collapse or near collapse similar to the one that put Obama in office.
Of course, he turned out to be, basically, George Bush’s third term, but he sure as hell SOUNDED a lot better than John McCain, when he was campaigning.
Don’t know how we’d prevent that from happening…again. Maybe, have him post a bond for all property he (or she) owns and if he doesn’t meet an agreed-on standard for being a real reformer, then he forfeits. He should also have to forfeit the office, and Obama may yet have to do that, for being a country-club republican.
Until his residency changes to Waupun or to the Green Bay Correctional Institute.
To claim that you don’t understand what happened in Wisconsin shows a total failure on your part to be able to add 2 plus 2 and have it equal four. Corporate owned and (money) partisan MSM, the DNC destroying OFA within weeks of sorryO’s election in 08. Just trying to keep it simple and to the apparent level of your understanding. You are justified in ranting about half the voting age population in the state, but not the other half of the voting age public, here. You tell me which half fits which definition if you can.
I never understood how the older population can vote against the Dems. They must like cat food!
