Gutless Harry does it again with another “bipartisan” agreement with Mitch McConell.
This is how he keeps his NRA A rating without actually standing up for the NRA.
He came to a “bipartisan” agreement with the rethuglicans in 2012. How did that work out Harry?
Time for a new majority leader. If D’s are more worried about the feelings of the Rethuglican Senators then their supporters we have a replay of 2010 coming up.
I know Mazie campaigned on supporting real filibuster reform and she will be held to it. I hope other Senators who spoke of filibuster reform are held to their words as well.
No filibuster reform – Talking Filibuster – Burden on obstructionists to get 41 votes – no filibustering motion to proceed. = No money, no support, primary challenges to D senators who take the cowards way out. If they rig the rules so they can’t do anything why have them there?
Time for a Majority leader with a spine who cares more for the people of the US rather then the feelings on his fellow rethuglican Senators.
No Filibuster reform = No Gun Safety
No Filibuster reform = No Election/ Voting reform
No Filibuster reform = No union employee card check
No Filibuster reform = No immagration reform
No Filibuster reform = No ATF chief
No Filibuster reform = Continued judicial crisis.

Reid is operating with the full and complete support of congressional democrats and Obama. Look at the votes on NDAA, the Patriot Act, and tax cuts for the rich which should have automatically expired had not Obama and Pelosi saved them. Democrats are not being forced by republicans nor victimized by Reid. They vote exactly how they are told to vote by the 1 percent.
Recommended for bringing the lack of filibuster reform to our attention.
But you did use the term “Rethuglican.” Get real. There’s no appreciable difference between Republicans and Democrats. They are all on the same corporatist team. They all want those who have wealth and power now to maintain and expand it at the expense of the rest of us, and Obama and Reid are classic examples.
Demoncrats, Rethuglicans; same thing.
It’s all part of the Democrats’ game plan: do absolutely nothing and blame gerrymandering and the filibuster instead of their own complicity.
Meanwhile, the rich get richer. Sadly, the poor get poorer, the dispossessed, more desperate, while the beleaguered middle class continues to wither and disappear-faster than the water in the reservoirs here in the south.
These people are, quite frankly, traitors to those they allegedly represent, and the oath they swore.
And the media will continue that useless meme of the Senate being the world’s greatest deliberative body when, in fact, it has become the world’s most dysfunctional legislative body. Shortly after the opening day ceremonies of the 113th Congress Chuck Todd showed us the Congressional calendar for 2013 – Congress is scheduled to be in session only 126 days this year. All the Senators know is to campaign, posture, whine, and wrestle with one another for media attention. And none of them care that the public considers cockroaches more popular than the Foghorn Leghorns that currently occupy both houses.
They are all a sad sad joke
Lol! Well said, billyc.
I hope nobody really thought Reid was going to make good on threats to axe the filibuster. Harry We Just Don’t Have The Votes Goshdarnit Reid would shitcan his number one excuse for carrying out the Republican agenda? Never Happen.
