The letter tells me I’ve been selected to represent the Republicans in my area. Interesting since I’m registered as a Dem but…
The questions are all structured to lead to pro-republican answers. For example:
Do you feel that the huge trillion-dollar solutions the Democrats have advanced to boost our economy will help or hurt our nation in the long run?
or:
Do you worry that the Obama Administration is committed to greatly expanding the government’s role in your life?
or:
Do you think the Obama Administration is right in dramatically scaling back our nations military?
or:
Do you trust the Democrats to take all steps necessary to keep our nation secure in this age where terrorists could strike our country at any moment?
At the end is the appeal for funds and a “certification” that the answers to the “Census” are your own.
If this isn’t illegal it sure ought to be. I’m sure there will be lots of people who think this is from the census and that they have to fill it in.

Gee, a push poll! Who would think the Republicans would employ such dishonest tactics?
I got the “poll” also. Answered it correctly { : “) — i.e., “yes, I trust the Democrats” } and then mailed it back with everything (including the original envelope)……..and with a few notes of my own about how I feel about fear mongers. I haven’t registered Repuke since 1968. Fools!
They get away with stuff like this and worse, and never are hit back about it. That means they win, by things like this. It helps that are many people out there, that as you worry about will fall for this.
I got one last year which looked like an official absentee ballot request.
Wow, interesting. Considering the right wing’s demonization of the census…
Can you say GOPocrites? I’m also curious to know if it is illegal to impersonate a federal employee.
Why not provide a link to a copy of the letter ?
