We asked the progressives to take the pledge to not vote for a bill that doesn’t have a strong public option. I’ve got news for them and a new pledge—not for them, for us.
If the final bill has Stupak in it, no more votes, no more volunteering, no more money for any of them.
I pledge to give all I would have given to any or all dems henceforth to the NNAF to help fund the abortions for poor women who will not have any access to them.
It’s the least I can do. What about you?
Ready to take the pledge?

More than ready but have already acted in that way for a good while now.
I’ve done both.
No more.
My bold.
Operative word “any.”
*cutting palm, mingling blood*
My word upon it.
i agree with you – not any
the way these sham votes are decided, we can’t tell who all the people are who would support stupak’s amendment if passage depended on their vote.
I’ll take that pledge
The ATM machine for dems is shutting down.
Count me in as well. I will take that pledge.
I pledge. And I will donate to NNAF. No more money for any dems, including Obama.
Oh, and I will donate to NNAF. No one cent to the Dems nor to Obama.
spread the word around please.
thanks revdeb.
The amendment apparently failed.
Mr. Stupak will still be sent home to spend more time with his family in 2010. You don’t get a pass on return fire because you missed.
Asshole.
not yet. Voting happening now.
Stupak rules. 64 dems have decided that women are chattel.
Anyone else ready to pledge?
Count me in.

Me too. Rec’d, and I put this on my facebook page.
Also tweeted and facebooked.
It is a conundrum for us, isn’t it? On one hand we have the under-delivering Democrats. On the other hand we have the newly “purified” Rethuglican corporate minion white southern skinheads.
So, let’s see: We get less than we want from the Dems, so a pox be upon all their heads, and we will stay at home, for ever and ever, from the polling booths and funding any of them from this day forward.
And what’s left? Who goes to the polls? Who, then, takes control?
Seriously, are we worse off than we were over the past eight years? Really? Or just not as well off as we wanted to be.
For me, one thing is for certain: The next Republicans that take over the house or the senate or the white house may just make us look back very fondly on the days we had Bush the Lesser in charge.
After all, he was not quite so pure compared to the crop rising up over there on the right. Tea, anyone?
Revolution now!
The Republicans are insane, we knew that.
But The Democrats have proven over and over again they’re corrupt.
Any hope we thought we had in “progressives” is gone, they are to weak.
The system is the problem, Revolution now!
I wish they needed us enough for this to make a difference. Why do you think they impoverished us? They don’t need us anymore.

i don’t give money to dmeocrats anymore anyway, so I’m happy to take this pledge.
the only tweak I would add is that EVERY DONATION be done in Stupak’s honor, with a TY sent to his office.
Very disappointed, but not surprised.
I like that.
I’d donate to a viable primary candidate running against Stupak.
