Dating back to somewhere in the seventies, a totally unconstitutional and certainly illegal and discriminatory strangle hold has been placed upon the right of women who are otherwise covered for legal medical procedures, to access their insurance for abortion services.
It may, parenthetically, have been to protect this equal protection violation that the ERA was so adamently opposed by the forces of the Patriarchy.
Anyway, it's really a good time to take this thing head one, and force Repugnants to out themselves.
It is an outrage that a serving soldier can't use her military doctor if she chooses to end a pregnancy.
Fuck this shit, Prez. Walk point on an issue that can only be good tactics, good strategy, good policy, and good politics.
All you need is some stones.

Thanks for this statement Rex, to which I say hell to the yeah.
Of course, the terrified-of-their-own-shadows, beyond-worthless Democrats couldn’t even bring themselves to call out the holier-than-thou schmuck Henry Hyde for his adulterous homewrecking, let alone his uterus fascism for all women who didn’t happen to be his girlfriend.
And of course it’s only gotten 1000x worse since then. Sigh.
Still a breath of fresh air to read your words.
It’s the “stones” that are the problem. The entire patriarchy rests upon it’s suppression of women.
Obama will NEVER take on settled law, even if it IS unconstitutional. the Constitution is fucking OVAH.
Next will come disenfranchisement for women and then, take away property rights.
And what are we gonna do about it? HUH? What?
I don’t care about racism, I don’t care about the gay. Because no matter what ethnicity, social status or political credo a man subscribes to, he’s always go a slave and someone to go home and whup on to take his frustrations out on.
And gay men generally couldn’t give a shit in shinola about women in the first place.
If we are serious about civil rights, it’s gotta be “women first in the life boats. but, it’s probably going to go back to the 12th century as the boyz destroy the planet.
That’s why, IMO, all these anti-abortion things in the first place.
The boyz know the fertility rate is going down, down, down from their poisons and they mean to make Atwood’s “The Handmaid’s Tale” a reality.
WE could been a contendah! If we hadn’t thrown away half the species’ intelligence.
I have come to some “interesting” conclusions.
We can talk about how bad Obama is.
We can talk about how cowardly the Democratic Party is.
We can talk about the Republican Clown Car Circus.
We can talk about Occupy.
We can even talk about the Constitution being dead.
BUT, bring up the electoral opposition to all of this?
Rocky Anderson, Jill Stein, Roseanne Barr, Mr Alexander?
We do not seem able to be willing to talk about that. Those of us who do are demonized, smeared, attacked, marginalized.
By any and all means possible.
I swear, I am becoming convinced that Democrats WANT us progressives demoralized and unaware of people like Rocky Anderson. They want us to “throw our vote away” with a meaningless write in protest or Mickey Mouse or better yet, to not vote at all. Or they want us factionalized and divided.
Because if enough of us do vote and are organized around one real credible and united campaign, then the Democratic Party and Republican Party have lost their pretend mandate.
Oh yes and
Recc’ed
Look, here it pops up into the recommended and visible area.
Funny how that works.

disenfranchisement for women
I have actually heard right wing men lament the election results whenever anything but a troglodyte gets into office with remarks highlighting the “gender gap”, which of course, favors life (real life…) over death.
Some will go so far as to trace the downfall of the republic to the advent of women’s suffrage…geez!
one real credible and united campaign…
Someday, but I fear not this year. I luve me some Rocky Anderson, and I’d knock on doors all night for you, Cavlan, if I were local, but this year its smarmy or loathsome for president.
Con respetto, (no news to you, I’m sure), but your avatar name means always right, never believed. Too apt.
I know I bear the curse of farsight and, perhaps creative thinking.
It’s become a habit.
My friends scoff at me and I hope they are right and I am wrong.
Thanks Rex
We actually have some teams ready to go. However, more is gooder, as the saying goes.
Smile.
Always available for remote GOTV phone banking, come November.
Sweet
Thanks. We will remember that.
