As a Canadian who used to live in the States I, for one, sure am glad to see that noted Wingnut-Catcher Mike Stark is prowling the Hill helping your elected leglislators stand up for what they truly believe in.
So…..
With that in mind, here’s hoping Mr. Stark can get Republican Representative Tom Price (the ‘Run Away Congressman’ in Mr. Stark’s Birther video) to confirm that he will most definitely NOT bill his taxpayer-funded heathcare plan for any services that he may or may not have received and/or may or may not be planning to receive from Canadian Healthcare Hater Shona Robertson-Holmes, with whom he shared a conference call earlier this evening.
And what kinds of services does the good Ms. Robertson-Holmes, the lady who didn’t actually have a malignant brain tumor, but kinda/sorta pretended she did in the services of the Haters’ Club, Inc., have on offer……?
Why, all kinds of stuff.
Which includes, but is not limited to, cyber sex addiction therapy.
Imagine that!

Interesting that she only has a course in mediation. How did she manage to get popular in the US? Why would anyone hire her rather than an American? Sex therapy with no training? She wants Canadians to adopt the US model. Therein lies the reason for her BS..someone who wants insurance companies to get involved in our medical plan is paying this woman. I wonder if she has cancelled her Canadian medical..’g’.

” My gratitude over receiving a new lease on life has turned me into a full-fledged activist — fighting for free-market change in Canada. Hopefully, we’ll win that fight soon so my country can actually redeem its longstanding promise of providing timely, efficient health care to its 33 million citizens — a population equivalent to the State of California.
And I hope that American voters will remember my story when U.S. candidates this year begin touting the Canadian health-care system as a role model for reform in their own country.
Americans already are being blitzed with a propaganda barrage that bashes America’s current private-public health-care partnership as little better than that of an emerging Third World nation.
Movies like Sicko and John Q, a wave of admiringly reviewed new books, newspaper pundits and cable-news commentators batter Americans with a daily message that the U.S. needs to embrace a universal, government-run system similar to Canada’s or Britain’s. “

OK..here it is…the reason she has been active against the Canadian medical plan since 2007. This is who is paying for her court case. The Canadian Constitution Foundation…Orwellian name.

“According to a press conference held this month, the Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF) is funding a Charter challenge to single tier Public Medicare in Ontario. This group also launched a class action against single tier in Alberta last year. The goal appears to be to extend the Chaoulli decision outside of Quebec –to bring down the ban on two-tiering and to widen the opening for two-tier Medicare, extra-billing, user charges and out-of-pocket payment for medical care.
The Calgary-based CCF is an extremely right-wing legal advocacy organization (and registered charity) that uses Charter challenges and public campaigns to promote its vision of “constitutional freedom”- specifically individual and economic “freedom”, property rights and the restriction of government – and to defend the Constitution against “improper decisions or actions of governments, regulators, tribunals or special interest groups.” The CCF is radically ideological and strongly linked with other right wing causes and organizations, most notably the Fraser Institute.
In 2006 the CCF took in $324,652 in tax-subsidized donations. According to the Star “Thanks to the Canadian Constitution Foundation’s charitable status, anyone who supports its particular political causes gets a tax writeoff that, in effect, all other taxpayers – including those who disagree with its aims – have to cover.” “

“As CNN reported, McConnell recently made a speech to the Senate referring to the “bureaucrats who run Canada’s health-care system” and using the Kingston General Hospital as an example of the horror of Canada’s health care.
KGH supposedly had waits of 340 days for knee replacement and 196 days for hip replacement. McConnell also fussed that Ontario’s wait time for breast cancer surgery is three months. CNN did interview Dr. David Zelt, KGH’s chief of staff, who pointed out the wait times are actually 91 days for hip replacement, 109 days for knees, and that these aren’t the average wait times, but the time that nine out of 10 people have had the procedure. Many have them done much faster. For breast cancer surgery, the wait time at KGH is 23 days, across Ontario it’s 34 days. “

” Because in Canada, everyone is covered. No one worries about how they’ll pay for medical care, no one is afraid to leave their job because they’ll lose coverage, no one is bankrupted by medical bills, no one has to choose between a prescription drug and putting food on the table. The Canadian government doesn’t mandate or guarantee health insurance; the Canadian government mandates and guarantees health care. Doctors receive payment from, but are not employed by, the state. No “government bureaucrat” determines what test or treatment a patient will receive; if a doctor orders it, the patient gets it. Period. “
