Very good news today, coming from the leader of the Congressional Black Caucus, Rep. Emanuel Cleaver. Mr. Cleaver is concerned about the tone of politics these days, and since it’s unfair for the Republicans to charge the President with waging a war on religion — because he isn’t — it’s only fair that Democrats stop claiming the Tea-Party GOP is waging a war against women — even though they are. [Warning: the video forces you to watch 30 seconds of oil company propaganda.]
This is a great moral victory for the advocates of false equivalency, not to mention the holy mostly-male warriors who have introduced and/or passed hundreds of bills in state legislatures and Congress to repeal or restrict women’s reproductive rights, rights to demand equal pay, and access to the benefits of government programs designed to benefit millions of women that are being systematically defunded by the GOP’s war on government (sorry).
Henceforth, those Tea-GOP efforts affecting women’s rights and benefits will be described more respectfully, using such words as “non-hostile” humanitarian actions. Please adjust your vocabulary accordingly.
Also, too, those of you who were waiting for the first Democrat to discredit one of the few effective and totally valid frames that might actually help them win elections can stop waiting. There’s one born every minute. Wonder if he has a mother, wife or daughter to explain this.

What’s the hullabaloo about…when most of us consistently bring up the atrocious Dem party record on progressivism under Dem Party & Obama many take umbrage.
The facts are clear keep voting for the Dems with the assumption that things will get better but slowly & you are compromising yourself to death.

Well, that makes me feel better. After what has happened in Florida and Texas, I thought there may have been a war on the blacks. Guess I was wrong!
Apparently Cleaver slept through the vote that passed the House that would allow the Emergency rooms to let a woman die rather than render medical aid that would terminate a pregnancy and save her life.
Or the votes where the Republican controlled House decided to defund Planned Parenthood despite the fact that it provides cancer screenings and preventative care for low income women.
The guy is a nimrod. Either he slept through the votes or he is unaware that for much of history pregnancy was a leading cause of death for women and continues to be a leading cause of death in countries that don’t fund reproductive health or allow for reproductive choice.
That’s why we have leaders. To tell us retards the truthiness of things.

George Will is claiming there was a plan to get rid of Stevens via a corrupt DA investigation that would removed a vote that could have stopped evil Dem legislation (but then I do not recall Lisa leading the fight for Obamacare but my memory sucks).

I predicted as much just a few hrs. ago to a friend who thinks the GOP had buried itself with it’s little War against the ladies. I told him give the Dems. some time to help their pals in the GOP out from under and here just a few hrs. later comes Cong. Cleaver doing just that. Whose surprised?
