Thanks for the link. It looks like she got canned primarily because she was not a good manager. I don’t fault her for being censored by the WH over her testimony on the health effects of global warming. The WH was to blame for that. But her forcing out the best people at CDC is just antithetical to the agency’s mission.
The mass exodus of scientists from CDC was a symptom of the overall politicization of every aspect of the CDC’s function. I don’t think you’d get that kind of response from that many professionals just because of management or personality conflicts.
