Great: a plan created to avoid a massive stock and bond market problem the following day will certainly contain all the most prudent and thought-out plans.
Per the article linked, all the Democrats seem to support this plan, which means its garbage, and apparently Republicans as well.
I did not see any mention of revenue increases in the multi-trillion-dollar spending guts vaguely referenced.
We all understand the travesty at hand, and Hamsher will no doubt have writing up on this “agreement” (that the Democrats would happily cut trillions rather than watching Wall Street implode) so I’ll leave off.

On the plus side we’ve been skrewed in the azz so many times, it don’t hurt as much. But tomorrow, will be especially painful as it goes after our families. Our mothers and fathers first. Work till you’re 70 at a “competitive” wage, ie. slave wages, no benefits, and no security/safety, and then get put on the privatized SS bandwagon. Oh ya, over the years the stock market tanked your retirement. Several times. So now, you get to survive on 100 bucks a month (if you’re lucky). Marry rich or better, be rich. The rest are FUBARed.
