“I’m worried about somebody in our government might kill him with a cruise missile or a drone missile,” Paul said on the Fox Business Network. “I mean, we live in a bad time where American citizens don’t even have rights, and that they can be killed, but the gentlemen is trying to tell the truth about what’s going on.”
The most reasonable and responsible thing that anyone has said in the US Senate for a long time.
You do realize that there is a difference between Rand Paul and Ron Paul, right? I mean, you must … what with the final paragraph and all.
While I can’t help but echo normanb’s cynical take … Ron Paul is the person who voiced concerns that a government agency might assassinate Snowden, not Rand. So that wasn’t actually said in the Senate – or by the person you are crediting it to.
Also. US Senator is a state-wide office. As such, Senators don’t have districts per-se. That’s the House of Representatives. Rand represents all of Kentucky, not just a district.
Really excellent high-falutin’ tone though.
