I have gone back and forth for more than a week about posting this thing. It is frankly appalling and disturbing. However I have been loud in saying that the Republicans and their conservative allies are racists. Sometimes you just have to show it for people to see.
This guy wants to run for President from the Florida Tea Party. His name is Grady Warren and he is going to tell you that he is not a racist then he is going to say he is
“tired of Blacks, nigras, Muslims, and Hispanics, especially the illegals, calling us racist for trying to save the America that we love”
Yeah, you read or hear that right “nigras” I guess that even a scumbag racist can’t quite bring himself to say the word “nigger” on a video but it is not like it matters. The stuff that he says is lies and race slander. This tool think that he really is not racist when he says that African Americans should not be anywhere near the polls because they don’t have the education to vote responsibly.
If you don’t want to pollute you mind with the whole thing, jump ahead to the 4 minute mark and just listen to the hate, bigotry and unapologetic racism that human piece of filth spews. This is the what the Tea Party and the Republican are about. Not totally, I will give them that, but they are not willing to repudiate it, just as they were and are willing to let their base fester in Birtherism.
I know there is an argument on this website that Democrats are the same as Republicans. Well, feast your eyes on what the Republicans are at their base and then show me where a Democrat, any Democrat is the same. Dems might be (and often are) weak in the knees and compromise far too much but at their base they are not this.
I am not going to pretend there are not racist or bigoted Democrats. I know there are. However no one in our party would or who supports our party would ever say these kinds of things. They would and should be ashamed of their failings in terms of tolerance, not proud of them and rationalizing them. There would be no place for anyone who would say these things in any manner in the Democratic Party. They would be repudiated and drummed out. Yet this guy, the steaming tightly coiled turd is not being repudiated by the Tea Party or the Republicans who pander to them. This is the same kind of folks who continue to doubt the president was born in this country.
The difference between the Republicans and their re-branding with the Tea Party and the Democrats is stark. The Democratic Party would never put up with this kind of thing, because it is the antithesis of what America is about and what the Democratic Party, warts and all is about. When Civil Rights legislation was being debated, the part of the Democrat Party that would not stand for it was pushed out. They went to the Republicans and they have been festering there ever since.
What is on your minds tonight Firedogs? The floor is yours.

“nigra” is a term that “cultured” southerners used to use. My grandmother said it. It has always creeped me out.
As Johann Hari says, a growing number of Republicans aren’t even bothering to hide it much any more — hence the popularity of Trump with them: http://www.independent.co.uk/opinion/commentators/johann-hari/johann-hari-donald-trumps-lunacy-reveals-core-truth-about-the-republicans-2276222.html
Of course, the problem is that those who are open about the Republicans and what drives them are utterly unelectable at the national level, which is why the Republican powers are doing their damnedest to snuff Trump’s candidacy, fake though it is, as they don’t want to be tainted by his actions.
Which should be interesting since the Republicans powers are exactly like Trump.
Boy, you sold me Bill. This guy obviously is the figurehead for an entire movement and his racism is represented in every Tea Party member. The Democrats are so saintly; why doesn’t everyone vote democrat? Such a shame when you have people like this guy that speaks for all the tea party people out there.
I look forward to more of your investigative journalism. I wonder what else you can dig up.
LOL, Went to conservativesportmen.com (http://www.conservativesportsmen.com/), the video was removed by youtube.
Group’s credo:
Why are illegal aliens granted more rights and privileges than American citizens?
Why do those in the U.S. military have to be drug-tested but not people who receive money from federal entitlement programs?
Why don’t we come together as Americans, not hyphenated Americans, and address the problems facing our nation.
Why is the government in bed with the country’s most powerful unions?
Why are we unwilling to profile potential terrorists?
Why are so many Americans afraid to hear the truth on most issues?
When is the American public going to say “Enough is enough”?
Or, Dumb and Dumber meets teaparty:

He probably shoots gamebirds on the ground…..
Don’t be obtuse. You show me the equivalence in the Democratic Party. Take your time. I’m willing to wait.
If you can’t recognize the difference between someone who asks says that Sarah Palin is the new Regan while saying “nigras and illegals” are the problem and a the members of the Democratic party, I don’t think we have any common ground to speak on.
I am not and did not say the Dems were saints, but there is a very real difference that needs to be acknowledged.
“However no one in our party would or who supports our party would ever say these kinds of things”
“String him up, and his wife, too”
“Cut off his toes, one by one, and feed them to him”
“put him back in the fields.”

This is from the MySpace page (since removed) of Jerry Jackson, New Black Panther and an elected member of the 14th Ward Democratic party committee in Philadelphia (among his listed “Interests” was “KILLIN CRAKKKAS”): http://media.washingtontimes.com/media/img/2009/Aug/01/bourne_jackson.jpg
I guess the prize should go to this gentleman for his eloquent phrasing, “You fucking house ni**er white black bitch”

Oh, don’t forget to mention how you’re the ones against violence:

He wasn’t being obtuse, he was being sarcastic.
Here’s an example of being obtuse: “When Civil Rights legislation was being debated, the part of the Democrat Party that would not stand for it was pushed out. They went to the Republicans”
A greater percentage of Republicans voted for the 65 Civil Rights Act than did Dems.
Opps: my bad. The Civil Rights Act was in ’64, it was the Voting Rights Act in ’65.
And in both cases the percentage of Reps voting YES exceeded that of the Dems.
Not that national legislation empowering previously disenfranchised minorities means anything compared to a YouTube of some asshat, of course!
Did you read my post? I mentioned that. But also note that it was a Democratic President who pushed it and that the Dems who left the party went to the Republicans.
Things change. The Democratic Party is not the party is was 45 years ago, and neither is the Republican party.
“I know there is an argument on this website that Democrats are the same as Republicans.”
Actually, the arguments usually tend to be along the lines of: Both parties are taking us in a very bad direction.
Democrat racism can best be seen in the unemployment and home forclosure statistics. Guess which group is currently taking it on the chin?
TBH, I suspect that if the Democrats ditched the Wall Street segment of the party, they’d turn the corner and once again be worth voting for.
Fine, I repudiate the New Black Panther guys, again. Now what you about you and the Gary Warren?
he is obtuse? No namecalling please. Rules are rules.
well, this i know for a fact is not true. because i’ve heard it (mostly about arabs and muslims but also about southerners and to a lesser extent about the poor, especially if not white). surprised the heck out of me, when i moved from TX to MA how much bigotry there was here from self identified D party loyalists. usually it’s more undercover and it gets shown in different ways, but that’s a difference between social signifiers not a difference in bigotry.
imo it’s far better to condemn bigotry where ever it is found (especially in myself) rather than to use it as a rhetorical weapon against any political group that is not explicitly based on bigotry (neonazis for example)… much more effective if the goal is to do something about bigotry.
Did I read your post? Yes.
Did you “mention that”? No.
You said: “When Civil Rights legislation was being debated, the part of the Democrat Party that would not stand for it was pushed out. They went to the Republicans and they have been festering there ever since.”
If the racists in the Dem Party were pushed out during the debate and went to the Republicans, how the heck did the legislation end up with more Republican support than Dem support?
Calling him an “asshat” isn’t repudiation enough?
Here’s what some other Conservatives are saying:
“I can’t find any mainstream Tea Party groups that this piece of crap is associated with, but he’s giving the entire Tea Party movement a bad name.”
“You and your “Niggras” Teahad comments can go and stick it where the sun doen’t shine. You don’t sound well, Sir! And your ignorance is showing!”
“I want him to shut up because his views are not the views of the Tea Party. He should take his act to a Klan rally rather than a Tea Party rally.”
“Grady Warren is not a famous teapartier. He’s a nobody within the movement.”
Now how about you repudiating this: “However no one in our party would or who supports our party would ever say these kinds of things”
Okay, so we take one person that makes ignorant and irresponsible comments – claims to be a member of the Tea Party – and the simple minded clown that wrote this article labels everyone that is involved with the Tea Party a racist.
Every one of these DEMOCRATS used the same ignorant language: John Stennis, James Eastland, John McClellan, Richard Russell, Herman Talmadge, George Wallace, Lester Maddox, Robert Byrd and Lyndon Johnson. There are many more but I have a life that doesn’t involve labeling anyone with an opinion different from mine racist. I do however suggest that throwing around the “racist” label is a common weapon of left wing zealots that make charges without a shred of real evidence. I have been to hundreds of Tea Party Rally’s and have never heard a racist comment. Mr. Egnor has two choices: go to one rally and find out how ignorant he is or stay ignorant.
oh my lord! I watch videos like this and it reinforces my fear that there is no hope for education whatsoever.
It’s about ignorance. What really gets me are his comments regarding Muslims and Christians. Again, as with race the issue is not about religion but ignorance. I hear fundamentalist Christians time and again yammering about how “violent” Muslims are and yet which of these two fairly recent stories is worse?
On April 2, 2011 we had this report from BBC: AFGHANISTAN: DEADLY KANDAHAR PROTEST AT KORAN BURNING
Ten people have been killed in the Afghan city of Kandahar during a demonstration against the burning of a Koran in the US, officials say.Hundreds of people took part in the protest. Gunfire was heard and cars were set on fire.
On May 2, 2004 we have this example.
CHRISTIANS MASSACRE 630 MUSLIMS OVER THE COURSE OF TWO DAYS
On May 2, 2004, The Yelwa massacre took place on May 2, 2004, in Yelwa, Nigeria. . According to reports more than 630 Muslims were killed by Christians. According to Human Rights Watch, 660 Muslims were massacred over the course of the next two days, including the patients in the Al-Amin clinic. Twelve mosques and 300 houses went up in flames. Young girls were marched to a nearby Christian town and forced to eat pork and drink alcohol. Many were raped, and 50 were killed.
Well, this is fairly typical: not so much of this author or this site in particular as of many, many postings on political blog sites from all sides.
Grossly overblown generalizations about the evils of the other side, willfully blind self-aggrandizement, refusal to acknowledge well known historical facts, refusal to retract claims proven false, perpetuation of false myths, attempts to change the subject, then a quick exit after painting oneself into a corner.
At least this one didn’t degenerate into name calling.
It happens on both the left and the right, and I would submit that it is detrimental to productive political discussion.
