What greater gift than the love of a cat? ~Charles Dickens
Man, talk about an uneventful week. The most notable event was one of the tigers throwing up on Kismet’s dental report. Had the whole dining table to throw up on but noooooooo, it had to be on the report. Oh, well.

Kismet’s teeth must have really been bothering her. I sure wish they could talk sometimes. This morning she was on the bed at oh six hundred, calling for her breakfast. What’s the "oh" stand for? Oh my god, it’s early. Okay, I stole that from Robin Williams in Good Morning, Viet Nam. She hasn’t done that in months. She’s not leaving anything for Feurae or Mojo either, which has them not very happy. Mojo sits on the sink counter in the bathroom and waits for me to open the door, then races in to gobble up what Kismet’s left. He’s polite, though, leaves half of what was there for Feurae. No wonder he’s such a little butterball.
Tama and Bapu have been playing like they did when they were kittens. Haven’t seen that in years. Got a little carried away last night and I had to break it up.
Maste and Igraine get fed on the dining table cuz they won’t eat on the floor with the others. Igraine has developed a habit that she won’t start eating until I’ve stroked her for a minute or two. Just a little prima donna she is.
I saw this at Cheers and Jeers at DKos on Thursday. I’m continually amazed at what animals do.
Some of my smaller relatives don’t fare so well.

Drop wisdom, abandon cleverness,
And the people will be benefited a hundredfold.
Drop humanity, abandon justice,
And the people will return to their natural affections.
Drop shrewdness, abandon sharpness,
And robbers and thieve will cease to be.
These three are the criss-cross of Tao,
And are not sufficient in themselves.
Therefore, they should be subordinated

Diminish the self and curb the desires!

Wow, an incredible video, isn’t it? Amazing. Love the way the dog races along the pier to go swim with his “mate.”
Great choice of pix, too – several made me laugh out loud…maybe my fave is the one with the “hog.”
My menagerie hasn’t been terribly eventful this week, either. As the weather cools a bit, most nights I have at least a good-night visit from two or three kittehs.
I suspect Itsa is feeling her age – one evening she was next door – through the brick lacework in the top half of the fence I could see her resting on the neighbor’s backyard path when I called her for dinner. She looked right at me, but didn’t come over the fence to eat. She showed up next morning, though, seemingly fine.
She isn’t fleeing instantly when a neighbor comes out of their door, tho’, and that’s unusual behavior. I suspect it’s less that she trusts them more than that she just doesn’t feel like making the effort. But she hangs out under the neighbor’s iron patio table and chairs, against the wall; apparently feels relatively safe there. I’ve been working and therefor getting up so early I feed her while it’s still dark, and she’s always there, waiting. Yesterday and today, I was a lot later(surprise) than pre-dawn, but she was somewhere close; as soon as the kitchen light went on, she appeared by the door. So, she’s hanging in there.
Greetings from Irak cat man.
From:
Suheila Jamil, and the team on Gorilla’s Guides.
Greetings to you. Lovely cat, lovely ouds!
I’m gonna recommend Dasequin again. If her arthritis acts up she stays put cuz it hurts to move.
Greetings to you, Suheila Jamil. Beautiful ouds.
I am deeply honoured that the Guides read my humble writings.
We keep track of our friends :-) I saw you were online and have seen Mohammed call you “cat man”.
Suheila Jamil
Mohammed’s nickname for me has been picked up by others at firedoglake. :)
I want a little bitty hog like that! I almost got one a few years back, but the Mr. put his foot down, hard.
I haven’t forgotten. As everything, it’s a question of, sigh. money. Paying bills today, buying cat food. Some once a year expenses coming up. If I had a steady job, I’d have bought it by now. Sigh. I’ll see what I can do this week. Of course, when I go to the vet’s, they’ll want to know why Patchy is overdue for his shots…
They were quite the rage a few years ago.
Kitteh supervises the craftmanship of hooman. Heehee.
Do they stay itty bitty?
Send me an email at gulfportfreepress at yahoo dot com. I can get some from my vet and send ‘em to ya, if necessary.
Yeah…I read somewhere that kids who grow up cohabiting with piggies are less likely to have asthma. Since my older one has had it since birth, I thought it would be a natural remedy. However…we had just put in a lawn for the boys to play on–Mr. worked very hard to get it in–and little piggies like to dig up lawns, so it wasn’t going to happen. Not to mention that our doctor told us pigs could make the asthma worse.
Unfortunately, no. They grow into multi-hundred pound beasts who like to share your bed. Heh.
I ain’t touchin’ that one with a ten foot pole. *g*
LOL.
How about one of these little guys. They’re so cute.
Thanks for sharing. Lovely pictures.
Aw, that’s sweet of you. Thank you! Let me see what I can do this week, but I’ll take it under advisement. I know my vet, like my doctor, usually doesn’t want to prescribe for patients she hasn’t seen. But she’d probably also understand that I’m not likely to be able to bring Itsa in.
You are too kind – truly a philantrhopist to the kittehs.
Gotta go get the kitty food before it gets too late; I’ll check back in later.
Those are adorable. Funny how furry babies are always so cute. Human babies… maybe one in five (being generous).
Just a drive-by for now. Company due to arrive shortly. Been busy cleaning, need to spend a little quality time with Bob before they get here.
Namaste
Usually they don’t have a real problem with it cuz it’s just glucosomine and won’t affect any other condition or medication.
Sooooo cute, in a surprisingly ugly kinda way. Chihuahua pigs! Did you see the comment about breeders lying about full-grown pig sizes?
Good thing you haven’t taught Bob to bark.
I found it. I don’t think these are pot-bellies. I couldn’t remember the name of the rage of the time piggies and found these instead.
I will make sure to tell him :-)
Suheila Jamil
I left a comment at your post. The more I look at those pictures the more I admire the skill of the oud maker.
Something about a kitteh that age surviving outside all these years. Just can’t not do whatever I can.
Same with the Guides. I feel so helpless in the midst of their struggle.
Vietnamese Pot bellied pigs
Pictures
Man, those in the pics in the wiki piece are some real oinkers. That is not a small pet. They’re almost twice my weight.
Now, Vietnamese pot, that’s another story. Dem piggies musta had a real bad case of the munchies.
Caturday!
That lolcat cracks me right up, and how sweet the retriever has a swim buddy :)
Happy Caturday, catman. Thanks for the great photo.
oldnslow
I was hopin’ you’d appreciate that.
thanks for the adorable shout out Tiger Man !
pssst, don’t tell PETA, but I’m gettin’ some balloons
ok, prolly not, but it’s still funny
Kike’s in the house! Alive, well and full of piss and vinegar! Ok….so maybe not so full at the moment….
She’s so healthy…and so much fun! Driving Yoda crazy of coarse…but Rosie…dear Rosie is still being a Diva. Kike’s gained at least 2-3 pounds in the past week…I just can’t get over it. She’s chubbier than those little porkers in the photos above! Make her stop! I want her to stay this age forEVER.
On the other hand…Stitchinfool’s been sick…so sick. My doctors office and local pharmacy have made a mint from me this week. But at least I’m better today. Gonna go make a quilt. Got me a new sewing machine last week. Damn thing can do everything except make coffee.
Life is good!
Stitchinfool
Miniature goats and miniature horses are pretty neat to, but you have to be careful in city. They are, after all, livestock!
Greetings Cat Man and all.
All is holding here ~ one of those days when life would be intolerable without the kittehs.
Grocery store is playing games with sizes and prices -in *our* favor (!) since Mr. Merlin can help eat a big can- so we have some new flavours that have been pronounced totally yummy. Mr. Merlin *taught* himself to eat the mice he’s been catching this summer. Only threw up twice in the house. Gah. The training seems to be over now that the *skill* has been duly acquired.
I do purr. Took me awhile to learn how to do it comfortably for me and the kittehs but it’s a BIG hit! I recommend the practice.
I always love the Tao Te Ching verses, SD. Belated congrats on the beautiful new addition to your famileh.
The oud maker has a beauuuutiful kitteh to go with the beauuuutiful ouds!
There are some longer vids of fun with balloons. Pretty funny.
Lol. I bet that’s a lot of fun.
Hope you are feeling better really soon!
What gorgeous tigers. Little Kike sure isn’t afraid of Yoda. Great pics.
PetsMart has been playing with the prices and not in our favour. Save one copper on each can. Used to be six. Saved a whopping 84 cents Friday. Only have 3 more dollar/case coupons left, too. Also.
Heh, my vet always said the best commercial cat food would be ground up mice. Does Mr Merlin leave ya an organ or the head? Tiye I used to leave the liver, methinks, of her “eating out” excursions.
I sent more to your email addy. Can’t figure out how to share a whole album of them here. Wish I could!
That’s a cute little Kike you’ve got there. Yoda doesn’t care for the youthful energy, eh?
If you have an album option you can put your pix in it and then link to it.
This may be the thing that would cause me to need a new camera…or not.
But the pics are great and getting to know these lovely folks. So I just wish I could put up a pic of Angela. She keeps finding new places to rest (so tired from what?) I merely moved a dining room chair to a new spot, and she is enthralled. She is a fairly short bodied little beauty. So if she lounges in the chair facing the front, she comfortably hangs feet and head over the edge like one of those hanging critters. But the position she has chosen to prefer is where she faces the back of the chair, as if she is in a stockade (is that the word?) She rams her face against the non-solid back of the chair/wooden; and manages to rest her neck and face on the cross bar at the back of the chair….what is she doing? If I forced her into some position like this, it would be critter abuse…she seems to love it/perhaps may think (really?) I can’t see her. Looks like she has been put in the corner. There she is face to the wall resting on the wood back of the chair. She says g’night…she is out.
Lolol!
I am not very *practiced* at examining the entrails. I much prefer the relative ease of placing the *whole* lifeless bodies in a shallow grave by the deck … As I recall, there were some variations, as in experimental. One time there was a head, and another time there was a tail and hindfeet end. And, yes, I had to scoop up some livery bits too on one occasion. eYuk. I am glad the training is over: now, back to the diet. Ahem. Or not. I figure it saves on my food bill. He’s a good boy. Except for the caterwalling to get me to let him back in.
Sorry about the PetSmart shenanigans. Price of everything is going up. It’s very stressful. Here, the little cans (which I had to use when I had only the little Colette to feed) are now double what they were last year. The new line of big cans are what the small cans used to be. We are making it work. Turns out the turkey and cheese flavour (not available in the small cans) is *just* as good as honey-garlic-sausages-intended-for-the-2-leggeds!
This wasn’t such a good cat week at my house–he hurt his hip and/or knee again for second time in two months and was confined to the spare room where his cat box is located to recuperate. He gets panicky when he hurts and darts around hiding under furniture (vet says he probably feels vulnerable) so kindest thing to do is confine him to the small room so he’s not too far from his cat box. We go in periodically to reassure him that he hasn’t been forgotten. Strangest thing is that when pain is acute he actually lies in his cat box to sleep. Yuck! Haven’t had another cat who did that, but most of them did not have his panicky reaction to pain, either.
And although I can’t purr back at my cats, I’ve had good interspecies communication with the slow eyeblinks the cats give when they’re content–they will watch my face when I do it and seem to get the message.
Too funny! Too cute! Little girl *knows* what she likes.
Mr. Merlin seems to find a *new* favorite spot every few days … there aren’t *that* many spots to find so he ends up rotating the *best* ones. It seems to have something to do with the temperature and the season. But any new cardboard box is heaven … but only for 3 days or so. He also likes to hang one looooong front leg over the edge of any raised platform.
I have also noticed with mine that the placement of a clean towel/bedding in a used-to-be regular spot makes it heaven again. Can’t argue with that.
What fun…Angela also discovered a small cardboard box. It had been in my closet and I pulled it out (left it, you see.) It has become her nightime spot…it is actually much too small for her….but Im not tellin’
I have been really interested in these recently changing sleeping arrangements. She had been “tied” to the living room. I am almost wondering if she is beginning to want to be closer to my area…but I dare not think that;) She and Merlin would certainly get along….or fight for space, I guess.
Colette was sleeping in her litter at the shelter when I adopted her. It’s one reason I adopted her. Her first sleeping spot of choice in the new home was the bathtub!
Whenever she’s having trouble I put her in the bathroom for a bit. She has tummy troubles sometimes and will try to escape by running to a new part of the house to throwup. And she was sick earlier this year. She’s also blind and I am now preventing any possibility of accidents on the stairs so if she starts to wander about I pop her in the bathroom. In the heat she chooses to sleep on the bathroom floor on a rolled up towel about half the day.
When she has been injured in the past I also put her in the bathroom. I think it’s calming – especially once they get used to that being the *drill.* I know some people *think* it’s cruel … certainly not when they are in pain, in my opinion. If I am really worried about her, I will put her bed in there too. Lots of tlc and a nice quiet refuge.
Actually, lately I have noticed I keep her from a really deep sleep in her regular spot sometimes. Noisy human.
Gesneri, Those are actually called “Kitty Kisses”. True! I’ve known for years that when my kitty wants to kiss me, he just blinks his eyes real slow. And thats how I kiss back! Works every time!
(I can’t figure out how to quote text here…..Hmmmm…..)
I “inherited” Angela after she was already a Sr. She came with stomach problems. She now gets a pill/small steroid I think. It really takes care of that problem; she only needs it about every other day.
Once again we play the game. She is quick.
I really need to train Merlin to move when I come by on the stairs ~ so we have no mishaps. He seems sure I am not going to step on him. It’s me I am worried about! At the same time, he is very unsure about how safe it is to sleep on the bed near me. We are working on it. It takes awhile sometimes. Colette’s regular spot has been on the bed for years – she just chirps at me if she’s awake – but she started out leaping off the bed at the slightest movement.
The do look very well made don’t they and the cat looks well looked after.
Suheila Jamil
Actually, Yoda LOVES the youthful energy. I can’t get over what a wonderful big brother he is being. He plays with the Kike constantly and never seems to tire. Its Rosie thats not so fond of the youthful energy. I can’t believe what a bitch she is being. But she is still very loving towards me…needs my reassurance, it seems. So I give it freely and peace reigns through-out the house….
The photo makes me smile.
Suheila Jamil
You are welcome
Suheila Jamil
Ahhh…but at least you caught her this time! So Purty!
Yep, the stairs sound dicey….we went thru a phase where Angela chose to sleep in the threshold of the bedroom. So if I got up in the dark, I “kicked” her. I think the little box solved this problem. I didn’t like stepping into her and didn’t want to get tangled up with her either. Isn’t it amazing how much we know about them? She is so pleasant and fun to watch…
and reader
In the wild they’d hide somewhere if injured precisely because they sense they’re vulnerable to larger predators. Instinct. Same reason they go off when they know their time has come.
I use the computer room as a sick room. I’m in here all the time so they don’t have to feel abandoned. Funny thing is every one that’s been in here for that reason pretty much picks the same spot to settle in, under the little used only to stack stuff on computer desk.
You need to train Merlin to move and I need to train mine to just have some consistancy! One time he will decide to move, and the next time he will stay put. I never know what to do with my feet. But what really scares me is when hubby comes clomping through with his workboots on. He never knows what the cats are going to do either. Hard to tip-toe in workboots. And poor lil Kike hasn’t figured out what human feet ARE yet. If they move, she chances them. Times are dangerous in the house these days. Must Be Careful.
She’s becoming comfortable with her surroundings. She feels safe enough now that she can do what cats primarily do wherever she wants.
You know, I have really felt that. I have had her just a little over a year. She seems to like to sleep on my bed sometimes, will search me out more, almost like she knows me more. Stays closer, etc. We communicate really well about her food, also. I can make a sound with a little tin measuring cook, and she moves into action. (My previous cat who died a few years back was much more of a loner; my daughter thought she was a real queen-bee, snob, I think)
Must share more pictures. I just want to brag on what a good big brother Yoda is being. I know this looks like he’s beating up on Kike but the fact is, she is beating up on him. Its hilarious to watch. He just loves her to pieces.
By Golly, I think I figured out how to share the whole album this time. Yehaw!
Sometimes it takes quite a while. I’ve not seen a pattern of any sort, seems to depend on the individual tiger.
Well, ma’am, you win the kitteh exhibition of the week. Hoity toity slideshow, no less. That is one precious little kitten.
And Ive not seen A. with any others, so I do not know what they would do to her demeanor…that is pretty calm & easy.
My Gigi spoiled me … she *always* moved on the stairs, without being taught.
Merlin gets underfoot when he comes in, too. He’s learned not to do it in the kitchen unless I have eye contact with him. But in the living room in the dark late at night. Yikes. I have taken to shuffling my feet along the floor so I bump him instead of going splat. And we do need to work on the stairs thing. He says it’s safe, really it is. Um, no.
It’s amazing how much they know about us too!
And you’ve got a box also….really great pictures. Youngsters, you’ve got…& what eyes.
oldnslow the woodworker is mesmerized by the Oud Maker’s work – think his eyes just glazed over – they really are gorgeous !
So true…thank goodness they ain’t talking.
The stairs are the worst! Dangerous, yes. Work boots? Yikes! Kittehs got some learnin’ to do …
Aren’t they something?
!!!!!!!!
Oh, I know Kismet’s feelin’ her oats now. My fingers prolly smell like turkey sub and she’s tryin’ to bite my fingertips. Has never done that before.
Looks like she knows what she missed…
I have delivered one lecture after another to my kitties about the importance of not clawing on furniture and not breaking the mini-blinds, all of which seem to have fallen on deaf ears.
heh Gabby’s the only one that gets human food and that by sneakin’ into something when my back’s turned.
Welcome.
Yeah, they seem to have this disdain of materialism.
Heh. Amazing how “deaf ears” could hear a can opener from 3 blocks away, yet lectures on proper care of household items are never heard. *sigh*
LOL
And what is it about mini-blinds…just flimsy I guess. But they go fast!!
Not one set of mine is undamaged. Nagi particularly likes the set in the window by the small bookcase.
Is the bookcase low? Angela particularly likes the view and window that she can get to from the top of a short file cabinet….she just jumps on that cabinet or travels from the bed and goes after the blinds…..sometimes I am on hand to open them for her, but not enough.;) She certainly knows where she likes to be.
Just visible on the left. Nagi can either jump from the dining table onto the bookshelf or jump onto the small phone table then onto the sill. That’s Mojo and Igraine’s first close encounter. The blinds are in pretty good shape but he likes to chew on the up/down cord that connects them.
They are beatiful….Angela and I took a good look, and I introduced her. She’s impressed and she gets the opportunity to follow the mouse/pointer. Thanks for the view.
Must be dinner time. I’m being circled by predators.
Great pics, Kike is a doll. Feel better soon.
There is something almost mystical about this one. I know she’s just down in the blanket fold but it gives the impression of being the Incredible Vanishing Kitteh.
Did you happen to notice the difference in the colors of my two yellow tigers? Yoda has a strange color, have never seen a kitty his color before. He’s like…ummm….champagne? Is that a color? Whatever it is, its strange. But pretty. Kike…well…she’s just a yellow cat. A fuzzy yellow cat though. Rosie…she’s made of silk. And don’t she know it.
I finally had to buy wood blinds. Maybe I give in too easy?
We’ll have to wait and see what her colouring is like after she matures. Yoda’s hamdsome. I don’t know colours well. To me peach is not a colour, it’s a fruit. *g*
I call that behavior “sharking” because of the circling pattern and upright tails that look like dorsal fins.
And don’t you love those little pink feet? Wow….
No, smart move….
I did notice Yoda’s unusual color! He’s a designer original.
SD, thanks for letting us share our kitty addiction…they can’t help it they’re so cute and we’re so easy. We really have some jewels and great stories to share…thanks for getting us going. Have been so grateful all year for Angela…came to me from such a dear woman, so I was blessed to know her and now to enjoy Angela’s gentle, usually, company. Good to share all of this with you folks.
LOL I’ll have to remember that. Perfect description.
One more day with me hide intact.
My pleasure. Wouldn’t be possible without you folks.
Terrific photo. :)
Not certain if it has yet been noted that The Oud Maker And His Cat is now an official Seminal diary.
I just saw that a few minutes ago. Couldn’t help but add my 2 cents.
Stitchinfool is another one with “the touch” when it comes to kittehs.
ratfood – this is for Bob
Indeed, you can tell hers is a happy brood. :)
Cute, Bob says “Gracias.” :)
I’m guessing that one is just staged, doncha think?
;)
No waaay. Sure is cute, though.
Seconded.
Completely uneventful week, Chez Cahnstance.
Love video, pics, catching up.
I canned peaches & plum tomatoes today, owing to the cool weather. (Stayed around 70 all day, which made boiling water canner in kitchen bearable.) Made & canned corn relish & tomato sauce yesterday, also a cool one.
Going back up to 80 tomorrow. Luckily, I’ve done a lot of the work required by ALL the fruits & vegies I overbought, so I might vege out tomorrow. I’m wiped from standing on my feet over a hot stove all day.
Be well all you animule lubbers.
P.S. Last Sunday, I had a chat with the goat cheese lady at the farmers’ market. Turns out goats don’t eat grass, but rather leaves & esp. the wild rose that grows like all tomorrow around here. A couple of days later, I was talking to my neighbors about their menagerie & other matters, like hacking a path thru the jungle between our properties. (I already established a link in the back where they can ride the horses thru, but we are now talking about a path closer to our houses.) She thinks we can do that in the autumn when the thicket is less thickety. I mentioned goats, & she said they are planning to get some next year. Goats & path = bring them down & stake them to eat my blasted wild rose, hopefully. Doesn’t take much to make me happy.
Ummmm, fresh goat’s milk and cheese.
PS: Angela is on her chair…face smushed against the wood in the back…guess she is saying it’s lights out….G’night Gracie…had such fun.
Isn’t it funny how we can sit and watch them sleep, wishing we could be that carefree?
Oh, is everybody gone? Catching up from where I left off.
Stitchinfool – your baby is a-dor-a-bul. Yes, wouldn’t it be nice if they stayed that size and state of adorableness forever? So cute, it hurts to look at her. Great pictures, too.
Re Yoda’s color – he may be the color of my Patchy’s patches. I call them tan or pale orange. A friend says her mother called that shade “pink.” His mother was a dark tortoiseshell. His little sister, from mom’s next litter, is classic orange. She looked much like your little Kike at her age.
The govt uses goats to clear brush around these hippy parts. A big truck full of them crashed and overturned near our shop. Carnage. I’ve thought many times that I should go to the site of the crash and burn some sage to clean the creepy energy up.
Nah, come, leave, come back. Rinse, repeat.
Goddamn mosquito got in the house. Little bastard bit me. Hope ya can’t find yer way out.
Ouch!
Wishing you soothing calomine lotion or benadryl or some such.
Thanks for your kind offerfor Itsa. She is remarkable. I’ve grown very fond of her. Guess she feels okay today…I came home a bit past usual feeding time, and she came over the fence and across the yard immediately. Arrived on the porch talking indignantly. I distinctly heard her say, “Late! Dinner’s late!”
Had to go get the new bag of food out of the trunk right away.
heh The ever demanding mistress. *g*
Yup. It took her a couple years of getting used to me to begin talking to me. Now she chats quite regularly. She knows who’s boss.
Time for me to leap into my tree. Working most of the day tomorrow, by choice, to catch up without the daily bs.
Be good to yourselves, and all other living things.
Namaste
Hi, I am here very late, past the Catman’s bedtime.
Regarding teh dead animal/parts, when I first moved into my house, the cats would leave stuff on the porch, by the front door. I started to pick the things up and drop them off the porch behind the bushes. Eventually they quit bringing me these gifts, but occasionally someone would notice the various things down there, and I would tell them it was “cat voodoo.”
You can see the good stuff at the cemetery in Havana, if that is your thing. It is impressive. I took a bunch of pictures of a variety of things I saw when I was there. The info I gathered from that trip helped me to ID what I was seeing in an apartment I rented unknowingly to a Cuban who turned out to have a life I did not want to know about. That was a crazy time. Yikes. Santeria.
Happy Caturday everyone.
Thanks for hosting Caturday, SD.
Namaste
Whoa, there’s a whole backstory, huh? Don’t think I want to know – imagination bad enough.
Nice to see you, though.
HI there, tj. . .yep, “This Old Landlord” has a whole buncha pile-a stories of this kind. “TOL” is my suggestion for what could be a major series of skits for SNL. Some of ‘em so funny I forgot to laugh. LOL.
Amgela says g’morning….we can check in for awhile. She’s right up here with me to check what’s going on. SD said he would be working some today….all have a good Labor day. It just started raining quite a lot here…
Yeah, and I’m liable to send that idea packing. I’ll think about it after a good breakfast. *g* I like hangin’ at home wid da tigers.
Great idea….as you said, just watch them sleep. What fun.
I do have to change the water in my aquarium at work, though. Have a gorgeous crown-tail red Betta (not my Betta but real close) and can’t have him swimmin’ around in funky water. Tetras would appreciate it too.
I do have to note that I have learned/observed what Angela is likely doing while I go to work….that would be sleep, in a word. I have returned from my 2nd outing and she finally appeared to rest/sleep in my lap. Not a dog’s life, a cat’s, I’d say. Good luck with the aquarium….
Glad to see SD may have reconsidered spending the day working. Labor Day should be sacred. Stores should have to close, too; only necessary workers like utilities, emergency workers, law enforcement, for example, should be allowed to work. I’m doing laundry, but not much else, today. It’s nice enough to have windows open; a brief rain, but now lovely sun. May even take a nap, in a minute. *g* Join the kittehs.
This has been a lovely gathering….the comments may close soon; I never know. My baby is on her chair….about down for the night. What a smart girl. Cheers.
