Obama and Holder have reiterated that they want to look forward, reflect and have limited investigation of torture crimes, becuase orders are orders, as part of looking forward.Oh really?
When I’ve decided not to pay my taxes, then I can file a motion about equal protection saying "The Administration must apply the law equally to all (Equal Protection). I should not be prosecuted for breaking the law, because now is the time for reflection and not retribution".As can any other accused.
Even better, following Dick Chaney’s example, I don’t even have to show remorse. This for crimes for which we executed Japanese and Germans after WW II, where it was hammered into us that "Torture is Bad, and was done by Evil People, who Need To Be Punished".
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice deceit and hypocrisy.
Impeach Obama. Do it now.
The Republicans will be caught between the rock of wanting to impeach, and the hard place of not wanting to impeach because the reason is to pursue the criminals of the Bush administration. Obama and Rham have reiterated that they want to look forward, reflect and no retribution.Obama needs a clear wake up call.
Impeach Obama. Do it now.

Wow! Talk about hyperbolic solutions. What is the High Crime the president would be impeach on exactly?
Beyond that, are you ready to give up all of the rest of his agenda? Be clear that is what would happen.
Oh, and you will lose your motion. Your breaking the law is a different category than slow walking investigations into torture. The government has some level of discretion in how they approach their duties, you do not have discretion in obeying the laws without penalty.
I am an implacable advocate for accountability for torture, but this idea is frankly counter productive and more than a little out there.
So we have reached the point where the Constitutionally mandated remedy is now a “hyperbolic solution” simply because the inside-the-Beltway fratboys consider it inexpedient politically?
What is the high crime [and/or misdemeanor] you ask? Breaching the oath of office for a start–failing to uphold the Constitution, statutes, and treaties of the nation. Is there any crime higher?
The treaties, which are themselves the law of the land, make slow-walking crimes against humanity prosecutions a crime in its own right.
This administration has been talking out of both side of its mouth-for the benefit of those with only half a brain.
Great satire has the effect of exposing slow uptakes.
Or those of us who have our earnest level set to stun! ;~)
I can see that! Even though I have a pathological earnest deficit.
No need to impeach. Obama is self-destructing as president.
Obviously Obama and Rahm and all those guys have absolutely no intention to call those who are the most responsible to justice.
So I believe we have to petition the World Court to do it for us.
This is not just a problem for this country. It is a problem for the world. America is thumbing its nose at the Civilization.
If these men at the top are not prosecuted, it will leave the door open for ,if not Obama, then the next Uber Conservative President. If the government (and dont be forgetting Xe) can act with impunity to foreigners, what is to stop them from doing the same to American citizens who disagree with policies in years to come ?
Who else but the mighty engine of International Justice that resides in the Hague!!!
The valiant Europeans have been outstanding at protecting the world’s citizens from having their rights trampled by Uber Presidents for so long that we sometimes forget that ours is the only one of the world’s backward nations that isn’t kept pure by the World Court!
More satire, I’ll be bound (with piano wire).
See this is why no one takes the netroots seriously.
