    I’m watching too. Armey was an ass. But, more importantly, is this stimulus bill any good at all? Did you see Cramer ripping it? Is there one ecomomist out there who’s pleased with this bill?
    The best point from Cramer was about Caterpillar laying off workers. He said we should be buying everything they make to rebuild our roads etc.

    Its a common trick avoid the issue attack the person. Of course it helps if you are more popular than the person you use that trick against.

    Like George Bush after too many bourbons, Mr. Armey sprayed all over the seat, missed, blamed Ms. Walsh for moving it, then tried to persuade Tweety to put the seat down. This passes for drunken entertainment, but not for news or adult debate.

    Mr. Armey represents today’s GOP. His opinion about how compatible an interviewer would be as another trophy wife seems irrelevant to the point he was defending. Being wrong on the facts and unable to make an argument, he employed the usual Rovian tactic: he attacked his interviewer. Sadly, this performance is also about the best the MSM can come up with, Rachel Maddow and a few outliers aside. Thank the Lord she gave us bloggers to fill the vacuum.

    I think it is important to note that Mr. Armey is very well-schooled in his attacks. His points and his demeanor were planfully derisive of both serious (as opposed to Serious) consideration of our problems and those attempting to acknowledge and deal with them. That excludes everyone in the Bush administration and its Congressional enablers, like Armey, who contributed mightily to our present woes.

    As with Bush’s approach to the Wall Street bailout, why do we insist on seeking and following the opinions of those whose only interest is in hiding their own culpability?

    Stop the Left’s Multi-Billion Dollar Handout to Liberal Allies

    We knew it was coming, and it’s finally here.

    After weeks and weeks of anticipating when and how the newer, stronger Democrat-led Congress would first strike against our individual liberties and expand the size of our already bloated government, the wait is over and we now know what we are up against.

    This week both the House and Senate will be moving a massive $825 billion economic stimulus package full off wasteful spending, and worse still multi-billion dollar handouts to their liberal allies. Specifically, radical Left-wing groups such as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) could have access to billions of dollars should this stimulus plan pass.

    Despite all the talk on the Left of bipartisanship and “reaching across the aisle,” fiscally sound approaches to boosting our economy such as tax cuts and tighter spending controls were ignored by the Democrat leadership.
