Obama looked tonight like he’s waking up to the reality of post-Bush Republicanism in DeeCee. I think he, Harry, and Rahm got caught flatfooted on Gregg’s demand. And I think the leak from DoJ wasn’t a coincidence. Gregg’s announcement that he would “abstain” on the Jobs Bill was his attempted shot back across Obama’s bow.
I don’t think Gregg will be the Commerce nominee by Valentines Day.
For all the talk on Tweety’s show right now about philosophical and political differences, I fully expect a Staffer F indictment by the end of the month. No Abramoff taint in the Obama Cabinet, thank you very much.

Hey, Teddy, what are the odds I’ll find Mr. Goodbar this year? Heck, I’m only 75.
Dugg and recommended, Teddy.
Actually, considering that Gregg would have felt constrained to vote no on the Stim Bill anyway, it’s a GOOD thing that he abstained from voting — it made it harder for the GOP to get the votes they needed.
This worked out rather nicely.
Whoops, there goes that “bipartisanship” flying out the window again! I guess the Obama Administration really does have to learn the hard way that these Republican’t f*ckers have no interest in cooperating in any way.
Gregg’s perfectly happy in his senator’s seat, and he’s not planning on running again next go-round, so he’ll take his pension & health package & go home a happy camper.
Thank you.
