   I don’t really expect an answer, because I think she’s blowing smoke here.

   Besides, she’s relied quite heavily on the endorsements and views of these three ‘choice groups’ in the past, especially in defending her campaigning for Joe Lieberman in 2006.

  Well, I suppose that could be what she means. But I’ve never heard the anti-choice groups called ‘choice groups,’ have you? They like to be called ‘pro-life’ and we call them ‘forced-birth proponents.’

  But if Boxer is putting her oar in with the forced-birth proponents, we’d better know about it and fast. Because she’s up for election in 2010.

  I sure hope so. Surely there’s a credible candidate to primary against her from the left? I mean, this is California! Every democrat who votes for this bill ought to be primaried. Boxer won’t get my vote if she votes for it (and I’ve told her so). I’m through with holding my nose and voting for lesser evils.

  And OT — In California, every democrat in Sacramento who voted for the budget deal should be primaried.

    I don’t hear Senator Coburn saying I hope his car does not start tomorrow. He leaves it open as to how the vote won’t happen open to and including violence. Much like Glen Beck says we must stop immigrants.
    Also Sen Coburn maybe your church never told you this but God does not grant prayers of violence the other guy does you know Satan. Vengeance is mine says the Lord it is not yours Sen Coburn.
    Also National Healthcare would save cost people less money and let them live longer Sen Coburn by fighting healthcare you have blood on your hands.

    Ms. Boxer is using a Botox needle when she needs a rhetorical spear. This is not a tack that will help her with this legislation or to keep her job next Fall.

    If she believes in the Senate version of this bill, she should say the unrelated trade-offs, the restrictions on all abortions imposed by ConservaDems in exchange for their votes, are worth it, but that she will act to protect all civil rights, including a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion.

    Boxer may be running against Carly Fiorina next November. Being soft on abortion or other civil rights is not likely to help her get out the votes she will need to keep her public employment. Obama is so much water looking for a jug to give it shape. Boxer can’t afford to look that formless and expect to win in California.

    She is using it to raise funds. I got an email recently from her touting her work. I just couldn’t remember a thing she had done to help, and asked what it was that she did to help us with anything. I have had no reply.

    The senator’s from California are pretty much like Arnold. Since they have jobs, they only care about keeping them. They are not about to do anything to help anyone.

    End the senate. It is the one thing that proves we don’t have any sort of representative government. They flout that daily as the talk down to us and then write laws to kill us.

    Apparantly Ms. Boxer in deeply involved in issues she feels are more important than this HCR disaster. I received an email from her this morning that says:

    As Chairman of the Senate’s Committee on Environment and Public Works, I have been working to make our nation’s highways even safer. In part, this means assuring funding to deploy improved designs and invest more widely in highway features such as rumble strips that warn drivers when they run onto the shoulder of the road. To ensure that we can take advantage of the best technologies, we also need better research on what causes collisions and ways to prevent collisions.

    As I work to authorize the successor to SAFETEA-LU, I want to build upon its successes by including greater investment in safety programs. In particular, I want to help states even more aggressively target safety funding toward those investments that will reduce the death toll on our highways. Quite simply, better roadways mean more lives saved.

    Catch a clue Ms. Boxer. In two years Mexico will be an oil importer instead of an oil exporter and America’s 2nd biggest source of oil will be gone. America’s driving habits are going to change dramatically. Forget highways.

    FIX THIS DISASTROUS HCR BILL !

    Watch Barbara Boxer walk the streets of my hometown hand-in-hand with Joe Lieberman. We fought hard against the Boxers, Clintons to knock Joe off his pedestal in the primary, but the power structure that supported Joe in the primary was enough to give him the legitimacy to run against a real Democrat. So a few Dems split, and mostly Repubs voted Joe back in. Since then the monster has grown with the help of Barack Obama and Harry Reid.

    Will they question their strategy or keep blaming progressives for wanting real reform. I won’t vote for this President again because he refuses to lead. I’m sick of people ascribing great leadership qualities to a President who refises to look back or forwards, only to the hollow victory he seeks now. Think they’re coming back to reconciliation for medicare? Keep dreaming loyalists.
