Rachel Maddow very skillfully wove together the story of George Rekers, the rent-boy luggage handler, David Blankenhorn, and the Prop 8 ruling today. This one’s really worth a watch, when you see exactly how flawed the "scholarship" presented by Defendant-Intervenors was.
It’s as if today was the day Judge Vaughn Walker finally got to say to these idiots, "You made me sit through all this bullshit, that had nothing to do with the case, while I had to be polite because it’s my job. Well, here’s what I think of your case."

Really nice to see Rachel bringing us up to date on the ‘scholarship’ that underpins Proposition 8: it’s all about the rent boys.
Well, it’s a good way to get the fundies on board with this.

bwaaahaaahaaaaaaa, they’d have had better luck had they been merely flawed. I remember that moment in the courtroom when I realized how rank and unqualified they were for any case, let alone one with historic possibilities – rubbing my hands together, actual guffawing. Bambi v Godzilla time

Team FDL gave us all a front row seat to what is arguably the civil rights case of our time and I am deeply grateful and a little humbled by my good fortune
