Eric Cantor, speaking at a meetup sponsored by SPLC-designated Hate Groups, scolded the #Occupy movement and, by inference, Team Obama’s “class warfare.” He apparently does not like seeing a critical component of the GOP’s brand image since 1968 co-opted by some Democrats and DFHs.
“Believe it or not, some in this town have actually condoned the pitting of Americans against Americans,” Cantor said.
“That’s GOP territory,” Cantor did not add. “When it comes to class war, the GOP is the clear leader. Others tread at their own risk.”

I really laughed when I read his statement today — “pitting Americans against Americans!” Methinks the lady doth protest too much. Do these guys have no political self-awareness whatsoever?

Of course not. Having always gotten their way, they feel immune from anything the petty “little people” might do. But fixed fortifications are a fantasy both militarily as well as economically. There is no firewall strong enough to protect their money, no community gates high enough to keep the angry people out and no hiding place secret enough to fool determined seekers. History is rife with examples of the rich abusing the common people and then getting their asses handed to them, (if they’re lucky). I guess history isn’t a required course for an economics degree though.

Cantor would be more than happy to lead an American version of Kristallnacht against “liberals” and people of color. He’d be more than willing to light the match to burn down the Capitol so he could then blame it on the “liberals.” Well not him specifically but he’d get one of his right wing mentally disturbed goons to do the deed.
I wasn’t referring specifically to Cantor, I was responding to a comment by eCAHNomics. Therefore “they” refer to “the rich and powerful”, the ones who never understand blowback.

There are, occasionally, moments so lucid and so explitive that I have to pinch myself and say, “Did he just say what I thought he said?” Can there be a clearer example of the bought-and-paid-for style of politics that characterize the right wing than this clueless tool? Can any thinking member of the middle/working class doubt that here, if not the enemy, is surely one of it’s most highly placed and effective advocates. Damn them all to hell!
It took Cantor and his ilk 30 years to slowly put the screws to the rest of us to get where they are today. And they want to spend the next 10-20 years decimating Social Security, Medicare, Education, Environmental, Safety and Food regulations.
And Mr. Cantor is upset that protests have gone on for 21 days.
Let the protests go on for the next 10-20 years, nice and slow, until the screws have been all removed.
