The NeoCons are pro Israel and bash anyone who does not agree with their view of a militant Israel. Except of course when the NeoCons are selling out Israel which they do by silence on the issue of Bush Giving Saudi Arabia Nuclear Reactor Technology.
So Bush got the extra oil he was after, but 300,000 barrels is just a few percent of Saudi Arabia’s daily production – it won’t have a real impact on global oil availability. Therefor, the most interesting aspect of this deal is what Bush was willing to offer the Saudis for such a literal “drop in the bucket.” Reuters hints at nuclear co-operation, but the WhiteHouse spells it out: “The United States will assist the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia develop civilian nuclear power.” The key is providing enriched uranium so the Saudis won’t need to complete the fuel processing cycle themselves.

Saudi Arabia the country that gave us Ossama is getting Nuclear Reactor tech I am sure that if a few pounds of Uranium go missing and get into the hands of Al Quieda, Israel will have nothing to worry about.
But where oh where are Holy Joe and all the Bush Neocons when Israel needs them?
Saudi Arabia is a lot closer to Israel than Iran and no they do not like Israel either. Also the closer you are as I understand it the easier it is for a missile to hit its target.
Who says the Saudi’s can’t or won’t buy Uranium from another country if America decides that the Saudi’s are building Nukes and decides to cut off their supply of Uranium?
Iran has Uranium ore and is working hard to build the means to process the ore for use in Nuclear Reactors and potentially Nuclear Bombs. Russia and China also can sell them Uranium and China needs oil.
I’m sure that Bush and Condi in their Memoirs after the Saudi’s launch their Nukes in 15 years will say that Noone could have foreseen that Saudi Arabia would buy Uranium from other sources.
It was always assumed by the Bush Administration that America could cut off the Saudi Uranium supply if the Saudi’s got militant about Israel. Never mind that when you assume you make an Ass out of yourself.
Nobody in the Bush White House thought that a country that hates Israel might buy Uranium on the side to be made into weapons I fear will be Israel’s Epitaph.

Are you shitting me? How does this make the Middle East anything but less stable? Does Bushie Boy believe there won’t be any secrets passed between the Saudis and the mullahs in Iran or does it just come down to the blatant fact that we aren’t concerned about nuclear proliferation as long as it’s countries who mouth the right platitudes about the Bush reign that get the technology and everyone else can suck our balls?
Now there are at least two nuclear powers in that small area, the Israelis and the Saudis.
Does anyone in this administration think this will be an incentive for Iran to scale back its program?

Damm I should have mentioned everything that you said. Hopefully Israel will bomb this Nuclear Reactor without causing a war. (not much chance of that but what other options are out there)
Hopefully Israel will publicly oppose this deal. I hopefully they will BLAME BUSH!

Regardless, I am positive that such ‘transfers’ are behind the idea of Israel ‘considering’ the Arab Peace Initiative.
For over 40 years I have had the thought in the back of my mind that ‘not the flood but a fire next time’ is a reference to nuclear war in the Middle East. I hope I’m completely mistaken.
