E) eating or handling infected chicken meat or eggs (or pigs).
The H5N1 Bird Flu and H1N1 Swine Flu virus will be destroyed by complete cooking. It will survive in undercooked meat and eggs. The surface of raw chicken meat and eggs may also be contaminated with small particles of chicken manure.

My bold Please this year be extra careful cooking the Thanksgiving turkey throughly this year. We have no healthcare bill yet which means monitoring of sick people like say pig and turkey slaughters is not happening. The whole point of healthcare is to get sick people treated before they spread what they got to the rest of us.
Turkeys can get swine flu, immigrants tend to have slaughtering jobs, swine flu started in Mexico. We also have no paid sick days so sick workers immigrants and otherwise probably can’t afford to miss work until they are to sick to work. By which time they cough on how many turkeys?
Animal to person and vice a versa transmission of the disease is supposed to be rare but close crowding conditions at factory farms are perfect to spread any disease if such a transmission occurs.
Every year in the news I hear stories about people getting sick from undercooked turkeys normally the cause is stuffing placed inside the bird surrounded by meat which if undercooked gives any disease the bird has a chance to infect us.

How about going with a tofuturkey? Or a locally raised free range turkey? Ever see how practically all turkeys are raised in this country?
Your ideas should work:). I have never seen how Turkeys are raised in this country but I have seen how they treat Chickens on tv if they treat Turkeys the same way I think we will have a lot more Swine flu cases after Thanksgiving.
Last year, I got a free-range, all-natural turkey. It got rave reviews from my guests and was the best tasting turkey ever.
Doing the same this year.
How much more do free-range, all-natural turkeys cost? Any special cooking directions required for real meat I presume it has less preservatives.
Me and my vegetarian thanksgiving will be safe, thank you very much. :)
Meat thermometers are inexpensive and very easy to use.
