American Public Media (APM) is the second largest producer of public radio programs in the United States of America after NPR. They also produce “Budget Hero” an economic simulation game that lets people decide what to cut or spend more money on in the federal budget.
I am quite concerned that the Tea Party is listed as one of the badges one can try an earn in this game and that Libertarian and Lefty ideas like legalizing and Taxing drugs are left out. That Ron Paul’s idea to cut military funding is left out. There is no mention of what National Healthcare and drug Price controls can do to cut the budget.  My Lefty idea of cutting military funding to twice what China who has the next biggest army spends of course does not get a mention. Try the link play the game just try and find one Left or Libertarian idea expressed the way we not the media or washington describe it. All our ideas if they even get a mention are weakened by half and rendered not effective! This game is fixed to win you must think like a Right Winger.
This is Right Wing Brain Washing of our kids if we limit the data and limit the answers they can give to questions we run into the GIGO Garbage in Garbage out problem.

Why do the Tea Baggers get a badge that players can try and win? Is it because they are sooo Popular?

 

The Tea Party ranks lower than any of the 23 other groups we asked about — lower than both Republicans and Democrats. It is even less popular than much maligned groups like “atheists” and “Muslims.” Interestingly, one group that approaches it in unpopularity is the Christian Right.

So if numbers and popular support are the criteria then Budget Hero should have Muslim and Atheist badges too? I’m sure Muslims would vote to end all our wars in the Middle East and cut off Israel’s foreign aid. Atheists would cut the Bush era programs that give money to churches.

Maybe its political support for ideas if so then cutting Social Security and Medicare 2 Tea Party issues that have almost no support should not be getting a mention when ideas like raising taxes on the rich enough to pay our debt are left out.
