First of all the book is a fraud added later and was not a book of Mosses. Tell me what are the odds that the Jews ” forgot ” a few books of the Bible for 600 years.
What are the odds that Solomon the Jews wisest king ” forgot ” this book? In fact
King Solomon bünself, the son of David, had built sanctuaries to the gods and had placed their
images in his temple. The convent of the cult prostitutes was in the predncts of the temple, and the stable of horses of the sun-god
stood at the entrance.
Solomon himself worshiped Pagan God’s or as we Lefties call it tolerated different religions and legalized Prostitution.
Tell me for 600 years God says nothing about this sinning but God decides that after his ” forgotten ” books are found and all the sinning stops to still destroy the kingdom of Judah 35 years later for their sins.
For 35 years the people had stopped sinning and then they get destroyed and sent to Babylon and only until the Persians today’s Iranians take over are the Jews allowed to return.
By their fruits you shall know them the bible says. If these books of the bible were real and following these books meant God’s favor then why would God destroy Judah after 35 years of living his supposed word?
Unless of course God likes, Gays, Religious tolerance etc. I am not so sure God liked the human sacrifice.
If you read pg 98 in the link you read they got rid of the pagan priests first,
” broke down the houses of the cult prostitutes” then
“defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the sons of Hinnom, that no one might burn his son or his daughter äs an offering to Moloch.”
Then “removed the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun,”
Language order tells us priorities you either put lead in the beginning of an article to get the reader’s attention.
Or you save it for the end and gradually build up suspense by making your case and building up your case step by step.
Putting human sacrifice in the middle suggests that pagan Priests the first thing mentioned is the priority or that horses for the Sun God the last thing mentioned is the priority.
If these religious reforms really were from God then Human Sacrifice would be the priority followed by the church prostitutes.
God is Knowledge St Augustine said. Rules and laws are made because they prevent harm to individuals and society.
Where is the harm Gays do society or the individual what justifies what these false books of the bible claim? God says is not enough of a reason.
Any book of the bible that puts pagan priests and or the sun God’s horses in front of Human Sacrifice has to be questionable, if not certifiably insane.
Unless of course these false books of the bible were more concerned about establishing one religion’s dominance instead of promoting the public good.
With dominance comes repression of all others and a hierarchy of the powerful is set up. Those small in number and less politically powerful must be demonized so those at the top have someone to blame when they make a mistake. Gays seem to have been chosen for some reason as a group to be demonize.
The Bible is a story of the people sinning turing away from God and then getting punished by God and returning to Righteousness.
Thats what they would have you believe instead its a story of their Rulers blaming every disaster, every invasion, every mistake they made on other people these “sinners” and then authorizing a Right Wing Religious crack down. The Red Scare of Sen McCarthy might be something more modern readers can understand better just substitute Pagan for Red and Pagan Pinko with Commie Pinko.
Still unless we want to end up like the Biblical Kingdom of Judah we must Renounce the evil message in these Books!

Joe Campbell is unfortunatly with feet of clay as to facts and interpretation in many areas – too many to discuss here but there have be actual classes on this post that Moyer’s interview.
There are better books on Myths and Their meanings and Interpretations – indeed as part of religious training one reads quite a few of them.
Maimonides and Jesus had it right – as Jesus said, there is only one law – Love God and Love your neighbor – so all other laws must be interpreted so they do not violate this law.
Well for me, if you claim to be a christian, then common sense dictates that you don’t spend much time referring to the Old Testament. I mean, that is lesson one of Christianity – Christ came to reform the old law and offer a new way, a way based on compassion and love.
Yes thats what I was going for at the end use your mind and ask yourself how does this help the individual and or society.
Some things in the Bible seem more about establishing a hierarchy Pagans, Women, Gays, Slaves were the poor and Dark People of the time.
JC pointed out the beggar Woman who gave 2 coins to the Temple all she had gave more than any rich guy who claimed to be all so moral.
If you have objects to this interpretation I would like to hear them. If you have books that refute this interpretation please list them.
Still for the early Jews to “forget” a book for 600 years? Thats suspicious. For a people who after finding the book and living these rules their grandfathers forgot for 35 years then to be punished by God for things their Grandfathers forgot?
That seems a stretch its more likely that a reason why the Kingdom of Judah was destroyed was needed otherwise people would lose faith.
This was the best reason weak as it is they could come up with. Many societies that fail turn to God fanatically and if even God fails then the old religion itself faces a crisis.
Unless a scapegoat is found often Jews in Europe would later be the scapegoats for the Christians Germany’s loss in WW1 comes to mind.
The Dirty Jew was often blamed for plagues etc. Hierarchy systems need scapegoats to excuse failure at the top.
