1.) Halter ran against who the netroots in Arkansas supported for Governor (Mike Beebe) who has created jobs. It was only when he polled bad consistently against Beebe did Halter join a race with Wooldridge, Mike Hathorn, a State Representative, Speaker of the House Jay Martin, and myself after he had raised $1 million for the Governor’s race. There was even legitimate questions raised by Hathorn about that and it lead to a serious questioning of Halter and how he financed his campaign.

2.) Bill Halter supported the ban and did not fight for it. The source, which is the ArkTimes blog clearly states Halter’s position. In fact what he said was : “I would support this type of legislation if, after thorough research and deliberation, it is found to be constitutional and in the best interests of Arkansas’ foster children,” Halter said:

3.) Today Halter repudiated both Public Option & Card Check in an interview with ROLL CALL : “If you ask 100 Arkansans what the “public option” means they are going to give you 100 different answers. People don’t understand what that truly means,” Halter said. “I would be supportive of giving the public the option to voluntarily buy into a medical program like medicare. … People are going to understand what that means more than just the two word phrase, public option.” As for the union organizing bill, Halter said it wouldn’t be productive to discuss the version of the legislation that caused so much tension between Lincoln and labor unions last year. “As you know, the the previous legislation that was labeled as ‘card check,’ it’s no longer on the table,” he said.

5.) The porn site information originated with Mike Hathorn’s campaign and Mike is not right wing, but a loyal Democrat in Arkansas.

1) Yes Halter originally was to challenge Bebee. I don’t see what that has to do with anything.
2) I was unaware of his position in 2006. That was wrong. However, once the issue actually came up for a vote in 2008, he fought against it. I document that in my original post.
3) He supports the public option in that statement, he just makes sure people know what the public option is. He also supports the labor bill. Everyone understands that but you:

4) I already show you that Blanche Lincoln right now has 50% of her money from out of state, but you ignore that. Instead, you act like I am stereotyping my neighbors. It is simply a fact that the average income in Arkansas is one of the last in the country. Arkansans work hard and they make a living, but they don’t have the money to donate huge amounts of money to political campaigns in general. The point is that these campaigns get money from Arkansans and other states. It is just the reality.

Really….pretty strong response for an average Arkie and yet you really don’t seem to know your own homestate. Your “facts” are like out of a political playbook, not from someone who lives and is a taxpayer in this state.
What do you expect from a grad student? But as has been stated in the previous post, this is about REVENGE. The True Liberals of the Dee Cee Beltway “Broderism” are at war against us True Progressives. We get no respect and we are called names. That is changing because of people such as Jane Hamsher.
This is payback and if Halter is slightly less fascist than Blanche Lambert, then its clobberin’ time! Who should be primaried next? How about Hapless Harry?
I live in Arkansas, pay taxes here, and have done so for many years.

JSamuel, look at how your response was phrased. For someone who has supposedly lived in Arkansas, pay taxes, for many years, it’s rather obvious that when you call Tim Wooldridge, “TOM WOOLDRIDGE” the wrong name but claim to know what his website says. Also, you call what I said lies and when I backed up my claims with legitimate source material, all you could do was keep spinning political counter claims.
Really now man…..come off it. I buy you are a student in Arkansas, but you also were involved in Arkansas YDA and most likely the way you structured your responses, a campaign staffer.
Oh one more thing….these were my views. If you disagree, I encourage you to get your own blog. But here is the crux, don’t just say what you think all the time. Nor use it to shill for someone else. Be genuine, as that’s a character trait Bill Halter lacks.
One last challenge. Bill Halter claimed to be close to Wesley Clark, but Clark is supporting Lincoln. Halter also claims to be a Clinton appointee, but Clinton is supporting Lincoln. Any response? It seems to me the two largest political forces in Arkansas politics who supposedly are his benefactors would support him….IF he was genuine.
