Colorado Democratic State Senator Bob Bacon defeated his Republican challenger Matt Fries, 63% to 37%.

During the campaign, Fries couldn’t catch a break. Fast paced attack ads flipped many an opinion. Fries was unable to catch up once salty campaigner Bacon turned up the heat. He was forced to trim the fat from his campaign, which some saw as a sign that his goose was cooked.
