In a desperate fight to hide the racism that runs rampant throughout the tea party, the National Tea Party Federation (or NAMBLA) has booted Mark Williams and the Tea Party Express for Mark’s racist blog post [Warning: link to Williams' site] that made national headlines last week.
Teabagger spokesman David Webb:
We, in the last 24 hours, have expelled Tea Party Express and Mark Williams from the National Tea Party Federation because of the letter that he wrote.
Here’s Williams’ MSNBC appearance/blog-whoring/book-pimping on Friday:
I guess the teabaggers will now claim to be free of racism.

Riiiight, and the KKK is no longer racist cuz David Duke’s not a Grand Shithead, or whatever, any more.
Oh yeah and they are still talking about the The New Black Panther Party, so the racism hasn’t stopped or slowed down. They also need to distance themselves from the Concerned Citizens Conucil, scratch that Concerned White Citizens Council.
Maybe the MSM is finally waking up and will do some investigative reporting about a subject they normally sensationalize.
As usual SD, you seem to be able to sum it up nice and neatly in one sentence every time. Awesome!
btw, I liked Grand Shithead. made me laugh
And yet, MSNBC does not kick him off their air…
So all the other rotten apples kicked one rotten apple out…whoopee!
This is what happens when people use their outside voice when they should use their inside voice. Now they have to go through all the hard work of pretending to disagree with him.
I wish the reporter had challenged Mark Williams’ facts instead of just asking his opinion over and over.
The signs that Williams says were only due to the Crash the Tea Party “last spring” were all part of the Tea Party movement from its beginning. Why do so called reporters not actually REPORT?!?!?!?
I thought CNN’s coverage of Mark Miller, (especially the simpleton Don Lemon’s,) was outrageous. I hope you are right and they will learn lessons/
and at the same time Joe Scarborough and President of MSNBC HAVE KICKED Markos off the air but not just Morning Joe but all of MSNBC.
Mark Williams has been described as an organizer of the Tea Party and as spokesman for Tea Party Express, the astroturf org. SO the question is whether they canceled his contract or just announced his ouster while they co0ntinue to pay him.
Watching that vid made me realize how absurd grown men look talking about Tea Parties. My mind sees 5 year old girls at a table with tiny little cups and cookies. These people really sound silly.
HA! NAMBLA! Wow, you crack me up.
you guys on a first name basis?
The New Black Panther Party has got to have some o’ them white power folks pissin’ their pants.
Yeah, I don’t think “pissin’ their pants” is the response that most American voters have to the New Blank Panther Party. After that video went viral, with the guy advocating killing cracker babies, most people knew what conclusions to draw about that group and the DOJ policy that supported it.
Sorry – but banning that annoying little sycophant Markos was a great decision on MSNBC’s part.
Whatever you’re smoking, it’s considered common courtesy around here to offer to share.

Sorry.
“Do you think elements of the Tea Party are racist?” This Week anchor Jake Tapper asked Vice President Joe Biden in an EXCLUSIVE interview. Biden equivocated at first, but then settled on a pretty firm no.
“Well, the truth is that at least elements that were involved in some of the Tea Party folks expressed racist views,” he said.
“I wouldn’t characterize the Tea Party as racist. There are individuals who are either members of or on the periphery of some of their things, their — their protests — that have expressed really unfortunate comments. And, again, it was all over TV, all over your network, you know? A black Congressman walking up the stairs of the Capitol,” he said, referring to alleged racist epithets said to an African-American Congressmen by alleged Tea Party members during the apogee of the debate over health care reform.
“I don’t believe, the president doesn’t believe that the Tea Party is — is a racist organization. I don’t believe that,” Biden said. “Very conservative. Very different views on government and a whole lot of things. But it is not a racist organization.”

Clearly the meme is not working on the majority of Americans, why else would Biden throw the NAACP under the bus.
Yep.
Now if only they’d do the same with Chris Mathews….
It seems like Ben Jealous said much the samething, condeming racist elements but not the movement itself.

Please do not feed folks. It’s been a long weekend of efforts to break up threads on this matter.
Thanks.
Thanks for the post twolf1.
So there is no there there. It has all been a sham, yet FDL persists with the meme to feed their own hatred.
Just as you do with your meme that tax cuts will solve all the economic problems of the world.
What’s your point?
Edit: and for the record, I don’t think any of the folks at FDL have stated that ALL members of the Tea Party are racist, but there has been more than enough evidence that significant chunks of the Tea Party folks ARE racists, which is really all anyone has pointed out.
That plus that the persons in charge of the “Tea Party factions” haven’t been real quick to condemn the racists
For the last time…
THERE IS NO RACISM IN THE TEA PARTY!
Weirdly, I’m supposed to believe Indie rather than my own lying eyes at what I have seen at teabagger-type events.
Frothing lunatics, some of whom are racist.
See klynn @ 22
What part of the DOJ supporting the racist New Black Panther Party was unclear? If you’re not aware of DOJ higher-ups forcing the dismissal of charges for voter intimidation, and the later videos of one of the defendants advocating the murder of cracker babies, lots of voters now are. This is racism in a scarier and filthier form than can be found on any placard, even if we can be sure the placard isn’t a plant.
But I don’t want to make the mistake of saying that one kind of racism is OK because someone else has committed worse. I’ve got no use for racists anywhere. If they’re observed at a Tea Party, the Tea Party has an obligation to confront and expel them. If it fails to do that, it will lose support and deservedly so, not just among you folks (who hated it from the start) but from the voters who would otherwise have listened to it and sent money.
