Tremendous rant!
Apparently Republicans voted against this because it was a “job-killing” bill, as the Senate Republicans voted against the small business loans package because it was a “job-killing” bill.
The stench of Luntz walketh the land. He must heavily self-medicate to rationalize his work.
Bravo Bravo Bravo Rep. Weiner!
I remember him doing a lot of yelling during the HCR debate, too. And then he proved he believes in party over principles. Why should anyone believe this outburst is anything other than more of the same?
the rant is righteous
A “massive job-killing entitlement” bill
Yup.
The fundraising emails and blog posts should be starting up soon. Talk is so, so cheap, Little Weiner.
Speaking out of both sides of his mouth.
In favor of covering up Israel’s role in 9/11 as the trigger for the creation of Eretz Israel, in favor of allowing Christine Todd Whitman to lie through her teeth about asbestos particles at ground zero – as long as it served to facilitate his Zionist wet dreams, but now crying crocodile tears for the ONLY heroes of 9/11 – when he knew damn good and well that the buildings were full of asbestos and the air was unfit to breathe. The reason the buildings were intentionally demolished is that THEY WERE FULL OF ASBESTOS.
He knew. They ALL KNEW.
It’s an act.
I see cynicism is alive and well in fdl-land.
It’s not cynicism, it’s familiarity with the way the guy operates. He’s got a big mouth, but that’s it.
Agreed, but ya gotta admit, as kabuki goes, this was top shelf!!!
*G*
Thanks for the vid Twolf, I’d heard of this, but had NOT taken time to view it.
Rcc’d of course.
Great kabuki!
And frankly, anytime someone beats up on the GOP, I don’t even CARE if it’s kabuki.
They ARE worse than the dem’s, although they all play for the same corporate fascists who get them elected.
If being cynical means watching what people do, and not what they say, then I’m proud to be a cynic.
He can beat up the GOP all he wants, but I’ll still be just as unemployed as I was before. The war in Afghanistan will still be killing innocent people, Obama will keep right on pissing on the middle class and the civil rights of others, and the list of shit will get longer and longer.
Exactly. So how can one be worse than the other?
Weiner is a lying, preach-to-the-base and line-his-pockets prostitute. As Lawrence Black would say, he should put on a little lipstick and glitter – because the guys like that.
They are all completely. Utterly. Putrid.
Think you ripped the GOP a new one, Tony? Trust me, do NOT bring your little sideshow here again, unless you want to see how that really works firsthand.
I can only assume that you have not viewed the speech-whine by Peter King that preceded Weiner’s fury.
It’s about bloody time that a Dem called out the GOP hypocrisy, obstruction, and failure to produce any realistic or meaningful economic or political policies that might have a prayer of addressing 21st century problems.
What’s the big deal, they’re just making faces and sticking their tongues out at the republican’s, secure in the knowledge that they’ll never have to back it up because there’s always a rotating villian like Baucus, or Lieberman to save them from it. Right now Dodd’s trying to torpedo Warren for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
So Weiner’s having a wank, why do I care?
If no one else has an idea for 2012 how about Weiner/Greyson? We can use them to frame the argument on why the GOP is shit. At the same time, we begin forging an alliance that could convert into a third party if it becomes necessary.
