Pres. Obama signs “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” Repeal Act of 2010
Live video stream via MSNBC
So conflicted on this matter. I’m happy for the LGBT community. This is a huge step forward, but I am sickened by Obama or our current Democratic overlords having anything to do with it considering how they have treated that community to this point.
youtube of Lt. Dan Choi in the signing hall about 40 minutes ago:
I’m not seeing Secty Gates – anyone ?
“Thank you Mr. President!” “We love you!” “We’re here Mr. President! Enlist us now!”

What a wonderful day. This trumps Brown v. Board of Education, and Armstrong an Aldrin`s walk on the Moon. I went down to the Labor Pool and the freezing folks awaiting a possible day`s work at 5 am were joyous. Obama was really getting it on as he was assured his wealthy gay base would pay through the nose next election. We now have an even larger base to con and trick into fighting our imperialistic wars. When you awake in 24 hours from your white wine spitzer blow out, rememeber this had nothing to do with equality and everything to do with bloody pandering to the gay community.
A good step forward.
There’s a terrible loophole: Waiting for Military approval. I wonder how long that will take.
Fucking well took long enough.
Such a monumental event and the above was the best you could do? I suppose that after you heard a speech on 22 November 1863 at an obscure Pennsylvania town, you would have telegraphed home and said, ” A so so fucking chat.”
right – because DADT was not actually a violation of gay’s civil rights – it was just an opportunity for a bunch of queens to scream “unfair” on college campuses! And that emancipation proclamation thingie – that was just pandering to the black community…
