When the idea of calculating and reducing one’s ‘carbon footprint’ came out, I examined my ‘footprint’ -which was already low- and made even further changes to lower it some more.
Now I find that there is even a better way of putting forth an effort to make the future better for those who will live on beyond me.

are somethings I would recommend to others concerned as I am in proving that George Carlin was mistaken when he said the purpose of man is to create a new paradigm , ‘earth plus plastic’.

well, there was a choice to watch an interview on bill moyers with juan cole and shahan mufti. it was excellent! the bottom line: the taliban are a very small minority in pakistan and are actually about 5 different groups that are all called “the taliban” by the u.s. they are not a threat to pakistan over all or to islamabad. i highly recommend watching it! apparently, due to the u.s. pressure on pakistan, the army was sent into the swat valley rather than using counterinsurgency tactics. and about 1/2 to 1 milliion pakistanis are now displaced.
meantime, off to watching the daniel goleman interview!!!
