According to the San Francisco Chronicle, President-elect Barak Obama may not use the e-mail and phone list generated during his campaign for contacting you during his tenure as President. (This is due to the Hatch Act, thanks bmaz). If you would like to be kept up to date on political happenings by the white House during his tenure, you must sign up on his new Web site, www.change.gov.

This new Web site is for "anyone who wants to post a message of congratulations, offer suggestions to the new administration or apply for a government job. People are invited to submit their names and e-mail addresses, with the goal of creating a new list for the president-elect to tap when he wants to communicate directly about a program he’s promotiung or seek help urging members of congres to support legislation he has proposed."
